My xbox 360 delays everytime it powers up when you turn it on the middle of the power button turns green fan comes on takes 1 min for the outer rings to turn green and full turn on have tried different power brick outlets still the same

If you only have the green power light and no ring with no video then you need to check your hdmi or video connections. If the connections are poor or even if the tv is off the outside ring lights will not even come on.

If you are using HDMI, the TV must be on and turned to the correct input before the xbox will fully power up. Also, try connecting a controller to it if that fix did not work. As a final resort, contact Microsoft by calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX.

This sounds like the Infamous Red Ring of Death also known as Rrod. This is basically where your circuitry has just burnt out and has died. You can either take it to a Game Shop to mend it or get a new 360. if you choose the new 360 R.I.P Someones 360

I think you need to take your controller and turn it on. On top of the controller is a real little button hold is for a second and the rings should spin on the xbox and the cont. clockwise (this is called sinking up the first player controller). Or try to turn your xbox on by pushing the middle of the controller X.

First take off my hard drive on the 360. Then plug it to the tv not with HDTV (use the red, yellow and white make sure it is on tv not HDTV) because it will not work for HDTV setting . then plugit into the wall with the 360 laying down not up and down and turned it on. (no picture but sound) with the 360 on take 1 towel fold it long ways and wraped it around 360 from back to front (make sure you cover the fans in the back to make it over heat.) leave your 360 on until it red rings (you can hear the 360 quit down. it takes about 15-30 mins depending on how fast it over heats. once this happens unwrap the 360 and turn it off wait 5 secs and power it back on and there you go you should have picture and sound again. if you still have problem you can now can send it to get repaired since there is a 3 year warrenty for red ringed 360's.

They are green?!? usualy when people have problems with  the xbox 360 hardware, the lights turn red. This xbox 360 may have a birth defect... Best thing to do is call 1800-4my-xbox. Talk to a representative about sending your xbox in, ONLY if you have not voided the warranty. If so, you will most likely have to buy a new xbox or new motherboard for it.
Also try changing your video settings to tv instead of hd, or hd if it is plugged into a hd tv. You might have toggled the HD switch on the video/audio chords.

What appears to be the problem in my case is that the RF module board in which the power button and the controller sync lies has been damaged. If aboslutely no lights come on when you power on your xbox 360, but it loads like normal, something has fried on the module and needs to be replaced. You can ether contact microsoft about this, or buy one off of ebay and install it yourself or have someone who knows how install it for you. Doing so would void your warrenty of course though.

hmmm.. The Ring of Death.

The 4 rings mean power faliure.
The 3 rings mean the CPU has been melted.
The 2 rings mean there is a CPU overheat error.
The 1 ring means there is an internal error.
