Question about Panasonic PT-47WXC43 47" Rear Projection Television

Convergence chips 110 installed but unsuccessful

I installed the convergence chips 110 on my Panasonic PT-47WXC43G but still I have sound but no picture. The power light does not flash, just stays on. I did not check the resistors! Did I burn the new chips 110 and have to reinstall new ones and would this also cause the TV to not send any juice at all to the small tubes and also the big ones?

Check the resisters or send the board in to ptscorp.com
if you find bad resisters chances are you blew the ic too

I have a pt-47wxc43g panasonic projection tv and when i turn it on the red light blinks three times and it does not turn on.

Hi,
Three times red light blinking indicates problem of convergence output chips are bad, tv has 2 chips that need to be replaced.
Let me know if you are handy with electronics stuff repair and can replace/ solder parts in circuit board to provide you technical info OR local tv repairman will do this job for you.
Thanks.

Panasonic PT-47WXC43G green ONLY is bowed on bottom and top

Hi,
It still convergence chip problem, check big resistors nearby these chips that would be open or devalued and causing problem, specially in green convergence area, your green tube/ gun is just fine and just not getting convergence output signal to show correct image.
I would suggest to download service manual copy of this tv for small fee from any website and fix the issue with schematics help.
Thanks.

Replaced convergence chips, have new problem

Did you check the 2.2 ohm 2watt resistors? As often one or two will blow when the old ICs fail. The 3 blink error is indicating a problem with the convergence circuit still.

no the ICs wear out the PS3 could contribute a little. But you will need to replace both STK392-110 Convergence ICs. You can get them at this link with free instalation instructions with pictures so you can do the repair yourself. Here is the link

Sounds like your convergence chips are going. Unless you are real handy with soldering iron I would suggest having a tv repair shop service it(probably cost $200-300). If you are handy then I believe the chips you need are Sanyo STK392-110. There should be 2 of them. be careful if you order them online, there are lots of chinese knock-offs out there.

Cannot adjust convergence, screen has rainbow effect

You probably need to change out the semiconductors. The parts are STK392-110. There are two of them, one for horizontal and one for vertical. Search it online more.
