Hi,
If u work continously then ur keyboard not coming long time.Bcoz laptop keys are very smooth,compare to desktop keyboards and very expensive too.I suggest that better to u purchase USB connector keyboards.

My shift button beeps when i press it and sometimes it locks out my keyboard. hp pavillion dv 6000 windows xp


it's something called sticky keys. Push shift+a letter to turn it off.
also hitting shift four five times toggles it

there is a little latch on either side of where it connecto to the mother board slide those with you fingernails towards the monitor then pull the cable out...!!!!!!!!!!!!BE CARFULL!!!!!!!!!! if you break anything your only choice will be to use an external keyboard or replace your motherboard. good luck

I quess your keyboard is solve by
vithob
and if you need to use the built in keyboard you blow it with blower to eliminate foreign material inside the keyboard. and please install the driver of your laptop to resolve the problems.

HP DV 1000 Keyboard Replacement


to get old keyboard out you need to take battery out of back and there will be 2 screws with a keyboard symbol by them unscrew them and then just pop the keyboard out
