Question about GPS Devices

Mp3/mp4 player I really need your help. My son was given a Mp3/mp4 player for X-mas from his Aunt. However I can't load anything at all on it. Upon research, I found the same exact one on Amazon.com, the same place my sister ordered it from. However, I do not know if it is the same seller. I read a comment on it and this person had the same exact problems I do. I can't load any video's and always there is an error and just something always. Here is the player... as there is no name to it, brand name that is, other then you will see my response and what I had found. Here is the man's response that I read about it and the exact player I have as well. http://www.amazon.com/review/product/B000M7EKJ8/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?%5Fencoding=UTF8&showViewpoints=1 Now, I have the same exact problems and I can't load anything, and it should be simple but it isn't. When I download a video, it won't allow me to add it. Can you tell me if at least the files should be mp4, mpeg, and so on, right? For videos This is the site from the book they gave in French... the booklet is horrible and many people complained. I typed it in and it shows this phone, only mine is not as huge GB wise, that it is a samsung... but even doing a search it is not found. http://cgi.ebay.de/Design-MP3-MP4-Player-4GB-Samsung-Flash-1-8-TFT-FM-M2_W0QQitemZ290209592111QQihZ019QQcategoryZ8267QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713.m153.l1262 Please help me to load some videos for my son. Thank you Sauni

If the unit is recognized by the computer (you can check this by going into my computer and looking for a new drive such as F: or G:.) then right click on your mp3 player icon and format the drives memory.

I require a mains charger for Tomtom 4n00.001. I need to charge it from home

You can buy a Tomtom main charger but they are fairly expensive.

You can use a Main powered USB charger along with your normal PC Tomtom USB cable: it should ideally be rated at 1 Amp or more.

You might even have a suitable main USB charger on hand now as they often come with generic MP3/MP4 players and some mobile phones: I use my Huawei U8150 or E585 modem charger for that purpose myself!

Hope it helps.

I have purchased a navsgo go790 with a 16gb sd card and would like to load music. This unit came without any instructions on how to load music.my media player will not recconise the devise. Can you...

Connect your gps system via usb cable and then under "my computer" you must double click on your gps system. Then you should find a folder called mp3/mp4, music or something similar. You will need to copy music from your computer to that folder by copying and pasting it. It is not the most user friendly way to listen to music however it will work. If you are confused with these directions you may ask someone to help you install your music onto your gps using these instructions. Hope this helps.

I have a new xl 300.s , I recieved for X-mas and I do not have aubs cable. could you get me one? Thank you / Loyd Hansen at genevievehansen@verizon.net

I cannot get you one but you may already have one at home:
If you have a Digital camera or MP3/MP4 Media player, the USB cable that came with those devices should also work as they are 'standard' mini-USB data cables.
Hope it helps.

Will my itunes music library play on my Garmin nuvi 760? I dragged and downloaded my itunes music library onto my nuvi 760. When I hooked it up this morning to use it in my car it kept saying it was...

Your Garmin only supports MP3 files and iTunes is all MP4. The Best way to convert them is with "Real Player sp" Which is probably on your computer already or downlaod it for free. Open the music library and right click on the centre. There you will see "Converter" Select convert to MP3. Don't open iTunes. Instead go through; Start, my music, iTunes, library. This way you can drag a whole album into the converter. Plug your Garmin in with the USB cable and go through; Start, my computer, storage device H. At the bottom of the converter you can select where to send the converted files. Select the device H. Now press start and let it do it's thing. When it's finished you can see the old files in MP4 format with the new files in MP3 format listed under. Drag and drop is only a copy. You can delete all these files after to keep it tidy. All the original stuff is still safe and you Garmin should now have music on it. Try it with a small tune first to test. Best of luck. Regards Chris4fingers

I have a garmin nuvi 760, and I am trying to put mp3 files on it through an SD memory card. I have re-formatted the card 5 times, and my gps still isn't reading it. How can i fix this?

Garmin states.... The most common reason the GPS would not recognize the the audio files is the file format. The GPS will not read any file format other than the mp3 format, such as itunes (mp4) format, wave files, Windows media player files etc.... If the files will not read from from the internal memory of the GPS, the file format is the most likely cause......

Help!!!!!!

From what I've read, Sanyo doesn't plan on updating their product. I have this same GPS and after hours of trying to figure out a way to get some possible map updates on their I finally found a way, but its not using sanyo. I was able to figure out what to edit in the system and get it to load into Windows CE instead of the Sanyos GPS software. Ive got Garmin software on it now, Using Garmin Mobile XT and Garmins North America 2009 City Navigator Maps. Works like a Charm. I havn't got the bluetooth to work yet, Not really been trying to get the buetooth or the MP3 player to work with it. Not a real big concern to me since the bluetooth hands free isn't loud enough for me to hear anyways. and you can't use the gps and mp3 player at the same time so, I just basically have it as just a reliable GPS system using Garmin. If your interested in doing this yourself, send me an email and Ill respond back to you and Ill give you directions on what you will need. You will spend $0.00 dollars to do this and about an hour or two time on it. My email address is Haydn1809@msn.com

Loading mp3 files to garmin nuvi 350

The device is not recognizing the file name. The Garmin GPS will only recognize MP3 files. Ipod (MP4) and other media files will not play. Converting the files to the MP3 format will correct the problem.
