There is what is called a TOC fitted onto machine, you will find that this has activated and cut power to your heater eliment. The toc is fitted near to your heater, it is about 1 inch square, and will have 2 wires going to it. 1 wire will then go to your heater.you will need to replace this but just check it first Also some machines like White Knight do have a small reset button on rear of dryer. this is normally a small red button, and you just push it in..

use a OHM meter across the terminals to check for continuity but my money is on you have a bad/defective limit switch and they are on the heating element housing itself chek them for burnt! weak contacts or broken wires impedeance and lose terminals change them if any signs of loseness
