Hi the problem is due to it been wired in wrong their should be two live wires coming from the unit one is permenant live this stores the time and any setings you change and the other live is main live that turns the unit on when ignition is on.
What you need to do is locate these live wires they will either be wired up to one live wire coming from the car this causing the problem you need to have one live wire going to live auxilary and the other should goto a permanent live wire.
The permanent live wire is the one that stores the time and setting etc it usually an orange wire and the permanent live wire is usually red.
What you can do is use search engine and look for wiring diagramme for your unit this will show you whats permanent live and what aux live hope this is some help.
If you are unsure let some one look at it for you its only five minute job thats all ok

Hi there, I have a RCA DRC8052N and I did get the stuck on "Hello" message and was able to reset by pressing the power button for 10 Secs. I was just wondering which Capacitors are responsible for this? All the Capacitors look good on the power board, no bulges. I saw the 1000uf ones and the smaller 680uf ones and I was thinking if I should just replace all with a higher voltage just to be safe and prevent power up glitches.
Also I have the RCA DRC8060 and it never gave me any power ups until recently. It actually just didn't power on. I was able to reset it, and it seems to be working well now. But just to be safe I would also like to put in a higher voltage Capacitor. I think the Capacitor is 2200uf, but I don't know which one for sure.
Do you know which Capacitor is the one to replace?
Any feedback greatly appreciated
Thanks
