Question about Intel SSR212MA Hard Drive Array

Open Question

Urgent NVRAM Cache Corrupt

We have SSR212MA storage module. We were able to configure it properly and it was working fine. One day i think due to improper shutdown the storage module went offline, also showing an alert that nvram cache is corrupt.
We disconnected one of the harddrives then connect it back again. Still the storage module is down and the cache corruption alert is being received except that it now shows us that the RAID is rebuilding. But, we have waited for the whole day for RAID to rebuild itself but still the storage module is down and its showing RAID is rebuilding.
Please help as asap.

Systems running firmware versions 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3 will not be able to upgrade to the 1.4 firmware using the Advanced -> Firmware feature in the web management console interface.

Upgrading from a previous version of the firmware is a ?data destructive? process due to the new structure of the firmware and supporting disk drives greater than 500GB. If you choose to upgrade to version 1.4 it is strongly recommended that you first backup your existing data to another system in your environment. It is also recommended that you understand your current configuration of users, groups and shares to be able to recreate this under the 1.4 firmware.

Once you have backed up your data and can recreate your users, groups and shares, you can proceed with the upgrade process. To upgrade your system to version 1.4 firmware, please follow the procedure described in the Release Notes.

Note: This operation will completely erase the shared folders and backup data, i.e., THIS PROCEDURE WILL REMOVE ALL DATA ON THE DRIVES.

your machines NVRAM is bad, did you have the main board replaced ? You are going to need a technician to repair this as the either the machine firmware is corrupt or the NVRAM module need to be replaced along with the main board $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ you can not reset!!!!! the NVRAM module and or main board work together, or the firmware is corrupt not the print drivers but the machine operating system which (firmware) is on a secure server with access to only KonicaMinolta dealership technicians. Why lose a router settings after a power outage?

Question:<br> After a power outage <a href="http://www.3anetwork.com/cisco-1900-series-routers-price_c12"><b>Cisco 1900</b></a> lost my router configuration, was saved, reload the configuration, save, reboot and no problem.<br> How to know if my router is properly, all my services run smoothly? Why it happens that configuration is lost?<br> Are there any benefits the settings saved in flash?<br> Answer:<br> Did you check if the NVRAM was empty or running config was empty?<br> If router booted with empty running config, it could be that startup got erased (NVRAM issue) or that it did not load it from startup to running (likely config-reg) issue.<br> Since in your case config-register ix 0x2102 and was not changed, the problem should be with NVRAM.<br> From me exprience, I have seen that in the following cases:<br> - config was not saved to NVRAM;<br> - at the time of powerdown the NVRAM startup file was accessed for editing (e.g. saving running config) and got corrupted or erased;<br> - NVRAM HW issues cause file system problems.<br> Is it reproducible in your case? E.g. if you powercycle the switch, do you see the same problem with config loss? If yes, check the NVRAM content. <a href="http://www.3anetwork.com/cisco-1900-series-routers-price_c12"> <b>Cisco 1900 router</b></a> That could give some hints.

I recently found that my xbox couldn't connect to xbox live so I called the xbox support line (UK) yesterday and the support person took me through many steps to trying to get it to reconnect which...

I would like you to power cycle your network equipment, once more, as suggested up front and, also, clear the Xbox system cache 3 times in a row. Here we go!
Power off your network equipment (modem and router) for 5 minutes. Power on the modem and wait one minute for it to connect properly. Power on the router and wait another minute. Power on the Xbox and go to Xbox network settings. Select Configure Network and slide to the Additional Settings tab. Select Restore network settings to factory defaults. If wireless, reconfigure Xbox wireless settings. If wired, Press "B" on your controller and select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

Clear Xbox system cache
  1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.
  2. Select Storage or Memory.
  3. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.
  4. Select Clear System Cache.
  5. Clear your Xbox system cache 3 times in row.

Restart your console.

Try download your profile from LIVE.

Hi, I have intel SSR212MA and data on it. I reinstall DOM, How can i assign IP to SAN and restore data? Regards, Anees UR Rehman

Hi ,

Bro Attach a serial cable to the storage system and connect to a laptop. Open a terminal emulation program to run a text interface, such as HyperTerminal* or ProCommPlus*. Use the following settings to configure your session:
  • Bits per second = 19200
  • Data bits = 8
  • Parity = None
  • Stop bits = 1
  • Flow control = None
  • Backspace key sends = Del
  • Emulation = ANSI
If using HyperTerminal, set the properties for the backspace key and emulation after the session is established. If you exit the session and return to the session in order to use the Configuration Interface, the screen will not open correctly.

Everytime i start up the computer it beeps 3-4 times, and the monitor says vga input not connected...whats could be the problem?

here are the beep codes for your exact dell model. this should give you a starting point on finding out what the problem is.

Beep Codes Your computer might emit a series of beeps during start-up if the monitor cannot display errors or problems. This series of beeps, called a beep code, identifies a problem. One possible beep code (code 1-3-1) consists of one beep, a burst of three beeps, and then one beep. This beep code tells you that the computer encountered a memory problem.
Reseating the memory modules may fix the beep code errors in the following table. If the problem persists, see "Contacting Dell" in your Owner's Manual for instructions on obtaining technical assistance.
Code
Cause
1-3-1 through 2-4-4
Memory not being properly identified or used
4-3-1
Memory failure above address 0FFFFh

If you hear one of the following beep codes, see "Contacting Dell" in your Owner's Manual for instructions on obtaining technical assistance.
Code
Cause
1-1-2
Microprocessor register failure
1-1-3

My hp laserjet P4014n is giving an error message 68.2 permanent storage write fail what can i do to clear this massage?

Hi! I will be glad to assist you in this issue.

Usually all you have to do is initialize hard disk even if you do not have one. Just turn off the printer. Turn the printer back on and when the memory starts to count hold down the menu key until all three lights come on. When all three lights are on solid release the menu button and press the arrow back button and initialize disk should appear in the menu. Just hit the check mark button again and it should take care of the problem.

Good day.

Due to the wind velocity in your area, I think you need to replace your aerial or you can check the wiring connection first from your aerial to the terminal on your unit because there are situations where breakage on wirings occurs due to stong winds.
