Good day.

Have you cheched on your vertical IC? The zener diode along B+ and try to check zener diodes along the secondary supply form your flyback.

Check the horizontal output transistor. Replace the same. Collector to base, or collector to emitter short to this transistor is a common case. If you wish to get more details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Time slide, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name/model number/IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.

TruFlat Tv turns on then off

Hello
Check the supply rail to LOT. If LOT [Line Output Transformer] is fauty, it will take tremendous current from the SMPS power supply output, and the overload sensor circuit will be energiised and the supply to the whole system will sut OFF. That is happening eith your TV now. Just desolder out the horizontal output transistor, the transistor that drives the LOT, and switch the set ON, and see whether it stays on or not. If stays on, check the collector to emitor resistoance of the horizontal output transistor. If there is any short with it, replace it and switch ON the set for a short time, say 5 seconds or so, and check whther the replaced transistor gets overheated. If it overheats, make sure that the LOT said above has damaged, and must be replaced with same type and number. If the fault is with the horizontal out put transistor, the set will work normally after replacing it.
The components can be bought from local electronic spare part shops at your town. OK.

Shut off itself

sounds like you might have an auto overvoltage shutdown circuit kicking in. The hivoltage goes to high and the monitoring circuit auto shuts down. More than likely trouble is in hivoltage circuitry. If you have a transformer that will allow you to bring up the set slowly without shutting down and you can look to see what's happening.

If the set runs at all, your flyback and output transistor are good. If the set shuts down after a few seconds and the sides are wavy, it usually means that the main B+ in your power supply is too high and not regulating properly. I do not know what kind of power supply that model uses, but if has an old-style STR regulator (like the STR30130) then it is probably shorted, and if the set uses a switching power supply then look for an open or leaky electrolytic cap on the primary side. If the power supply is working correctly and the set shuts down, check for an open safety cap (the large 1.6 - 2Kv cap connected to the collector of the horizontal output transistor).
