Hi I keep getting this error put in cartridge. I have taken out the ink tanks and changed taken the cartridge out and put it back in it to no avail.
I have unplugged it and turned it back on and it worked for about 8 pages then stopped again. It also did show error 5600 and 5200 but now keep getting the same thing. I have tried the reset button. I can only either turn it off or unplug it. Any ideas on what to do apart from throw it away :(
I got the same problem, I did take out the cartridge and tried to clean it very gentle.
It starts to work well but after two minutes the same message "Wrong Cartridge" So I dont what to do with this. I must tell to all of you, I have two years with this printer and it seems its time to change it.

The U043 error code indicates that an ink tank is not installed. One or more ink tank icons on the LCD should also be lit up. The lit up icon indicates the applicable ink tank. Verify these tanks are indeed fully seated in the print head and that they are lit up red.
You can also press the OK button to clear this message and continue.
I have Canon M560 printer installed 8 months ago. I replaced the CLI 221 Magenta and CLI221 Cyan ink cartridges, won't work and got this message Error 1411. Tried repeatedly to reinstall the ink cartridges and still have this message coming back. Any solution you could offer? I would appreciate it. Thank you.
The version of firmware you originally had on the printer when you
changed the ink cartridge was bad. There is a known issue that when you
put in a new ink cartridge when the printer is in the error state
EMPTY. REPLACE COLOR INK CARTRIDGE" the unit writes that value to the
new ink cartridge so you will continue to have that error.
So to fix
your problem Open the access door and Remove the ink cartridges. Then download and install
the new Firmware. Heres the link.
Users having problem like ink cartridge is only partial used, but error code appear to check ink cartridge, maybe trying to taking out and putting back, it works sometime and problem occurs again,
By replace a new ink cartridge will sure help as the partial used one would be faulty already, and if you are using Canon ink cartridge, do call up Canon to report the issue and they will exchange a new ink cartridge for the faulty partial used cartridge as it due to theunique feature that Canon has build on the ink cartridges not properly done, which resulted to be faulty. Canon's purpose is to prevent the usage of 3rd party ink cartridges.
I too was getting the error for unrecognized ink cartridge. Then the
little green circ board fell out of the end of the ink cartridge and it
hit me that maybe if I put in the little green circ board from the old
ink cartridge of the same color, then maybe the ink cartridge would be
recognized. It worked! So don't throw out an ink cartridge that still
has ink just because of that error and hold onto your empty cartridges
in case you need the little green/gold circ boards.
Have you taken the printer apart? as the issue I had with our spare printer was that the home mechanics around here had taken ours apart for some reason and had not put the paper roller pin back in correctly. it was sticking out preventing the ink tank holder from moving.
