Adjust the thread tightness. thread tension might be loose enough. be sure also the the bobbin inside the machine is place correctly! reversed placement would result in bigger mess.

It keeps getting tangled up here the bobbin is underneath and keeps getting jammed

try changing the needle--make sure it's the correct one for the fabric
being sewed
rethread the machine ---using every thread guide
try using a different bobbin
try turning the bobbin over the other direction
clean under the needle plate and in the bobbin area for lint
also could be a timing problem and the machine would need to be
checked at a sewing machine repair shop

The macine said it was an E6 error thread jam which I completely cleaned the bobbin area (not much there anyway) but I still cannot get it to not jam the thread on the botom. I have changed needles also.

Hello

This code tells you that the motor locked up because the thread is tangled. Untangle the thread, make sure the machine is threaded properly and that the proper tension is set before continuing.

It could be that the bobbin is being put in upside down check to make sure that you do not need a bobbin with a magnet on one side. also make sure there is no thread tangled inside the bobbin housing it will cause the timing of the machine to be off and cause issues with your needle picking up the bobbin and thus cause a mess inside you bobbin housing

I place the fabric on the machine, lower the foot and apply pressure to the foot peddle, when the machine begins to sew fabric is pulled down and the lower thread tangles, the machine make a crunching...

This is easily solved. Before you start sewing make sure your upper and lower threads are long enough for you to hold before lowering the presser foot. If these threads are too short they both get carried down into the bobbin along with the fabric and cause a big tangled mess. Always hold your threads at the back of your work with your left hand then lower your pressure foot and don't release the threads untill you have taken several stitches. Keep holding these threads during backstitching at the beggining of a seam too. Works like magic.

I keep getting an E6 error message - tangled thread. I think it's the bobbin thread that's getting tangled, and I can't figure out why, or how to fix it. Any ideas?

The string under the fabric bunches up until its in a big tangle and I have to ripe the fabric out from underthe needle and cut all this bunched up string from machine and fabric

Make sure bobbin is placed correctly and has tension. Make sure your getting tension from upper tension when putting pressure foot down, pull thread to make sure there is tension present and set tension to 4

Jammed thread.

To address my needle thread tangling (horribly) in the bobbin compartment, I rethreaded the bobbin. I cleaned the bobbin and the feeder feet, I changed the bobbin and the thread. I changed the tension on the needle thread and the bobbin thread. NO FIX! Then, I changed the needle - the problem was fixed instantly. I sewed awhile and then put the original needle back in. No problem. I think perhaps that the problem is being caused by the needle getting out of alignment somehow during sewing. If you are having the same issue, try it. It can't hurt!
