Question about Hitachi 43FDX01B TV

Dead set been throught the obvious but still won"t turn on

Hi all, I have been reading all the other post that involved this model being dead. I have a problem where the tv does the chirp and the power light stays on but I have no picture or sound. I have already replaced the STK ic's as well as all the respective resistors with no luck. I have gone as far as replacing other components, such as FBT, H.O.T, and other related components (FBT had signs of arcing. Did the maintence as I am working on the set) (This is my set) However I still have no luck getting the set to fire up. If i unplug connector (PQD2) I get sound, and voltage from the power supply on the Deflection board. Not all voltages are correct, and there is still no H.V. At this point DP37 is on but DP 29 is still off. I've checked everything. I have hit a brick wall!! Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like the clunk most Sets have when dead cold and first turned on= a degaussing coil which will not stop the set from working.

If the power light does not make it on someone has to open the unit and see if the fuse inside is bad---not exactly a light set either and if you are not able consider either a shop or replacing the set as some repairs on this model can get rather expensive.

Set Dead

Then the obvious thing to do is to have it repaired, best if done by person who diagnosed the problem with the P/S.

Dead set, blown r616

Can you please post the exact model number so I can look up the part? The model should be in the form KV-xxLyy where xx is the screen size and yy is a series number. The L can be one or two letters.

Please note that the set is likely to require more than just the resistor.

Phillips TV model # 27PT6441/37 issue

There is a install kit 483531057673 for this model when the set is dead. The kit will contain 7404 and the Horizontal Driver Transformer 5402 along with resistors that will limit stress on 7404 and includes complete instructions

Sony kv35v36 tv no power

Good day.

It is an internal problem particularly in the power supply section. But you can try checking on the fuse. It may have been blown.

Sharp television model 32c241

This is a power supply problem. It may be as simple as a blown fuse or as complex as a problem with overvoltage and overcurrent events within the circuitry of the Horizontal and Hig Voltage sections of the set. If it is a fuse that's simple to replace, the other well that can get kind of involved. In any event I would suggest that you get the set analyzed by a qualified Television repair person.
