Question about Video Cameras
It's the disc not the camera......I purchased a 3 pack of Sony DVD-R discs. I put the first disc in and it recorded once. The next time I tried to record I got the message "movie recording disabled". After calling Sony, searching online, resetting the camera and reading through the manual I replaced the disc with another from the 3 pack and it is recording just fine. I read that recording straight to DVD has many problems, and I believe this is one of them. SONY SUCKS!!!!!

That means there's something wrong with the disk. Get a new disk, preferably a Sony mini disc.

And the same thing happened to me at my son's Graduation yesterday. It also happened when I was in Italy last year but only one time out of about 10 dvd's so I thought it was something that I hit. I am not too happy about this as it seems to be an issue with this model. I have extended support on my camera and I think I'll give them a call. If I find anything out, I'll let you know.
