Question about Toshiba Satellite A135 Notebook

My graphics subscore was at 3.8 untill i reset my toshiba laptop to out of box state. Now its at 2.6 and i cant get it back to 3.8. plz help. tx!

    When i push f2 at start up i can see the bios version but cant access it.

Try going into the BIOS of your laptop.
In the graphics are increase the memory allocation to the graphics card from 128 to 256.
If it already at256 increase to 512 etc.
please let me know if this resolves the issue.

    OK try hitting the ESC key on bootup.

    no joy?

    Try this one.

    1. Turn on computer by Holding down power button while pressing the ESC key.
    The machine will beep, then display:
    Check System, then press [F1] key.
    2. Release ESC key
    3. Press F1 key

    Toshiba change how to get into the BIOS a number of times so some models are different.

I hhave a toshiba sat and it wont get out of the boot screen. Windows wont load. I dont have a windows cd

Where do I find the recovery partition on my toshiba l645d laptop with windows 7?


The recovery partition is basically the same as the Toshiba restore CD if your model has one. The restore partition is located on a separate partition on the hard disk (if it has one).

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 With Windows Vista on it. Keep getting BOOTMGR during startup. I'm not in the possession of a vista dvd. Seeing this laptop came with the OS...

I cant log in because i forgot my password ?


The following ways can help to reset or recover lost windows password in a few steps.

1. Reset windows password with reset disk.
  1. If you enter the wrong password when you attempt to log on, Windows displays a message that the password is incorrect. Click OK to close the message.
  2. Click Reset password, and then insert your password reset disk or USB flash drive.
  3. Follow the steps in the Password Reset wizard to create a new password.
  4. Log on with the new password. If you forget your password again, you can use the same password reset disk. You don't need to make a new one.

2. Reset windows password with a Windows Password Reset software.
Step 1: Download and install Spower Windows Password Reset.
Step 2: Create a CD/DVD or USB password reset boot disk with SWPR.
Step 3: Boot your computer from password reset boot disk.
Step 4: Recover the forgotten password for administrator account.

Toshiba nb300 won't boot. PXE-E61 media test failure. check cable.

Remove the battery, and unplug the A/C adapter and hold down the power button, for 40 seconds.Soon your laptop will reset,and run well.Now you will install all the accessories and start.

Pres f-8 start laptop until start restore option
RESET TOSHIBA TO FACTORY SETTINGS WITH BUILT IN BACK UP FILES
1Save your files first to an external memory storage like a memory stick or whatever u may have, plug in your laptop to the ac outlet.then....

2)Shut down your computer turn it on. then immediately press f8 repeatedly until it brings you directly to "advanced boot option".If you see the Windows Logo like "Windows Vista", you need to turn off your computer again and repeat pressing f8 simultaneously until you see the "advanced boot option" menu

4)Under "advanced boot option", highlight the option "repair your computer" and press "enter".

5)System recovery option menu will show up, select country and keyboard layout then press next.

6Then there is the option to log in as a local user so you can access recovery option,enter your password.

7)After that the "system recovery option" will show up and show these options
a)start up repair
b)system restore
c)window pc complete restore
d)windows memory diagnostic tool
e)command prompt
f) toshiba recovery wizard

8) Select "toshiba recovery wizard"

9) There will be a warning that "all files will be lost are you sure you want to continue?" Go on click whatever confirmation message u see.Al files wil be rewritten so there is nothing to worry .From there just go with the flow until recovery has finished.Your computer may restart automatically, thats normal. No BIOS start! "Password=" ?????


Try the following
(1) Go to start menu in the Windows
(2)Click run in Windows XP or click on (Search Programs and Files box) on Vista or 7
(3) In the open run box or the above stated field for Vista or 7 type cmd
(4)Type cd\
(5)On c: prompt type the following code

DEBUG hit enter
-o 70 2e hit enter
-o 71 ff hit enter
-q hit enter
exit hit enter
This should clear the BIOS password.
