I bought a slicK 1GB mp3 player from the family dollar for my niece and she lost the guide to it. I tried downloading music for her but it wont play it, it shows "no file" on the display of the mp3. When I check it in the computer it shows that the music is in the mp3. . .Can you help me in getting the music to play? Thanks.
I also have the Slick Stick MP3 player and it wont play songs. I have syched it about 6 times and when you turn on the player it says NO FILE. I found somewhere it is because of a MICIN.DIR file. But I delete it and it comes right back. None of the songs are protected either.

The brand is listed on there :) "Slick Stick" I did finally get it to work. I formated the drive and them did a copy/paste to the mp3 player.
I downloaded a file from podrunner.com
When i access the device it show's up and it does play the 30 second commercial before the music...but that's it.
I just bought a slick mp3 player from Family Dollar and it won't work. It lights up when I plug it into the usb but nothing appears on the screen, the player shows an icon that appears to be transferring files (but it doesn't). After thinking we were transferring music the player still said no file? Please help We are running Windows XP
usually mp3 players comes with an installer because it has different software.... there are mp3s that can trasfer music from computers through copy and paste... but in your case, maybe that's not adviceable... try to look for an installer... if you dont mind, what's the brand of your mp3 player? maybe i can help you find software installer....
