Philips problem We had this tv given to us, We were taking it home and it started raining and didnt have it covered so it got wet as soon as we got home we started using the blow dryer on it and it dried it up. Look at the ends of the picture tues as the power is on, Are the ends of the tubes lit up. If not you probably have flyback issues . Let me know if the tubes are lit or not.

I have a philips HD rear projection TV 60 in. inside there are six adjustment knobs. Three are color the other three are for brightness contrast and hue. Which is which Left to right

If yours is a rear projection TV the adjustment knobs on the focus block inside are screen (red, green, blue) and focus (red, green, blue). The ones you are referring to as color are the screen controls and they adjust the intensity of the color from each tube. The other set adjust the focus of each color. They are also not intended to be adjusted by the user. Unless major components have been changed these controls should not need adjustment. That is why they are inside the TV.

the best process always starts with the tv unplug from power. after this done have a illuminated room to see what you're doing.
This tv has a back cover really easy to un-screw and actually is light. so take it apart and you are ready to clean the inner area. do so with a soft cotton cloth. the back cover is covering the projection area be careful to control you movements because a back mirror is used that actually is not glass instead is a kind of plastic easy to break it. ones the cleanning in the lenses, don't press hard the glases, that area can miss align easy. other than those conciderations i think is not difficult to do that process.

TV Powers off

I think the lamp cover switch is acting backwards. Should quit when the door is off, and only work when the door is on. Look closely at the cover switch and see if it is messed up somehow.

Tilted tv screen

The complete convergence for the Philips projection sets usually requires a clear plastic overlay which fits over the screen and has many precisely spaced black dots. The remote is then used to enter the service mode and converge all 3 colors onto the dots, and then the settings are stored in an EPROM IC. This should only be done by someone with experience with the Philips sets.
