Question about Kitchen Ranges
I have a Magic Chef 61EA-3KX gas range. The oven's thermostat knob easily turns counterclockwise from off to the desired temperature, and the oven lights and heats properly. However, it has recently gotten very hard to turn the knob clockwise from the desired temperature back to off. As I'm turning it towards off, there is a pull back against me. I have taken off the knob and it is clean on the inside, and there is nothing visible on or around the shaft onto which the knob fits. Suggestions?
Nothing magical here, sounds like the thermostats on its way out, not servicable part needs replacing.
