No picture (No Anything on screen)

Hello all Experts< Do you have an idea whats wrong with this console?

When I start the thing up the green light comes on, the fan starts then stops straight away. There is no picture (its an anolouge tv not HD) and the control wont identify with the machine. Looks like the Operation system is not loading. Have tried pressing the power button for 5 seconds and resetting the display, removing the cable, replacing and restarting to do a hard restart .... nothing works. Ive seen this on a few blogs but no real resolution. Any idea whats wrong?

My ps3 turns on then just stops. same problem as the previous guy.

when i turn on my ps3 everything works except nothing comes on my screen and no volume is on.

I have the same issue - support guy told me to hold the power down for more than 5 seconds and all that, but the issue is still there.

I noticed the same thing with the remote ... the system doesn't seem to recognize the wireless remote when you try to turn the system on with it. No idea how to solve this problem!

i turn on ps3 and get nothing but a no signal across the screen, it was being played 10 minutes before it happened, and didnt show any signs. help!!!!! its alittle over a month old and no extended warranty, trying to see if sony has a manufacturing warranty. any info is greatly appretiated

The problem might have to do with a power thing maybe the power switch i mean maybe the power at your home went down and that causes the PS3 to basically be unusable, what i would recomend is to go and make a diagnostic to your playstation, im not sure where but im sure that if you google it you might find cheap places to see whats wrong with your ps3Good luck!! :D

Ds is 2months old both screens stay blank but green power light o

Last DS I had that did this was fried and I binned it. I tried all sorts of motherboard repairs but it just didn't affect anything. If it's that new just send it back for replacement.

When i press the power button to start the game the green light is on and after 3 seconds the red light is seen again. thats what happens

well this coul bean various things something wrong with the game or *********** board isnt funcioning right or when the power cable isin it could affect it but cuttingit out open your console check if anything is out of place this will viod your warennty but your warrenty is probably old anyways hope it helps a little

Bar light turns from green to yellow to blinking red

this is similar to the red blinking lights on the xbox360...it seems your cell processor has overheated resulting in a cold solder joint or worse bridged solder involving the BGA array...I have had some sucess in fixing these albeit limited. sony charges 150 plus state tax and sends you a refurbished unit.

Wotterz.

This is a problem with the cpu on the systemboard. I've seen this problem many times if the DS Lite is felt to the ground. The contacts of the cpu are very fragile. The DS Lite turns on, green led available, even charche is working bot nothing else. Repair of this problem is almost impossible. The only thing you can do is send it to Nintendo.

You can test if it is the cpu by removing the bottom of the DS Lite and put the battery on te contacts.
Press firmly on slot 1 (the aluminium cover) and turn the DS Lite on. If you got a picture on the screens then you know it for sure. The cpu is located under slot 1 and by pressing on de top of the slot you are pressing possible loose contacts back on de systemboard.

If it is not working then the cpu is to musch damaged.

PS3 start up problem

Hi,
if the hard drives are interchangable or replaceable, i,d give that a try. Other than that it seems as if the bios-eeprom or memory chips are acting up.
I remember MS having the same problems with the 360. Overheating issues. if your consoles are warranted, get them replaced. If theres any sort of setup disk with these consoles ( as bought-demo et,c ) try starting up with that In.
