I went to turn on my Dv 10 today, only to find the lamp light glowing bright red.... does this mean the lamp blew? I am the original owner and really only had about 400 hours on the lamp..... not that much use..... I thought they were to last to about 2000 hours. It is still under 2 year warranty, but I have a feeling the lamp is not covered.........
Am I screwed? The lamp seem to run $350-ouch!!

If the red indicator light on the front of your HDTV is glowing a solid red, you should first unplug the AC cord from the wall power outlet and wait for 60 seconds before reapplying power to the HDTV.
After you turn the TV on, if it doesn't power up, try holding the power button down for at least 8 seconds. That's supposed to force a system reset. If your model has a system reset button, use that instead. Press the reset button for about 20 seconds...release it and press it again for 20 seconds, release it again and the led will blink just for a minute or two. You should now be able to turn the TV on.
If after several attempts, the HDTV has not fully powered on and the LED on the front of the HDTV is still glowing solid red, you may want to reseat the lamp.
If reseating the lamp has not resolved the issue then your next step is to order a replacement lamp.
double posted, why do that.
its answered already,

does it run? do head lights work and all other lights.?
is the battery in car charged," top 12.6v rested. and you can drive say 10 mile with head lamps glowing full bright?
that be good to know.
Sounds like the lamp. The only way to really check it is to either put a new bulb in or put the old bulb in a different projector. Neither of which probably help you at this point. But, it does sound like the lamp is blown.
If you already replaced the lamp and still have the same issue, that means you will need to replace your ballast, of course there is no need in returning the lamp, since eventually you're going to need one.
Did you have color problems in past? Most of these sets have convergence problems. Amps goes out. But you should have seen some type of distortion from color, red, blue, green. If no color problems then maybe vertical ouput out or horizontal output bad.
