Question about NetGear MR814 Wireless Router
I AM TRYING TO RESTORE THE DEFAULT SETTINGS ON THE ABOVE ROUTER? NETGEAR STINKS FOR THIS SIMPLE ROUTINE.
In your setup click the 'Erase' button, this will reset it to factory settings.
If you forgot the password or IP and can't do this, there is a reset button on the back of the unit. Hold it in for about 10 seconds until the power light blinks on. Then release the button and allow the router to reboot. This information is in your manual. If you've lost your manual, click here.

Tips for a great answer:
Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a lost or forgotten password from a router or access point; you will need to reset the device to factory defaults. However, once the device is reset to factory defaults, you can use the default username ("admin") and password (either "password" or "1234" depending on your router) to reconfigure your router settings.
NOTE: Restoring factory defaults on a device will erase any customizations you have made. You will lose any configurations saved to the device!
