Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
Replaced the top lcd screen of a friend's NDSL and got the green light, touch screen flashes white and turns off problem. I think it is a ribbon cable problem, but I've checked them 10 times now , even that pesky little one. I don't want to fiddle with the little one anymore, so need to narrow down which cable it is most likely to be.... I'm thinking the top screen one that you roll up and push through the crack...just wondered what you guys think. Or else do you think I've blown a fuse?
I had the exact same problem, i just fixed it a minute ago by pushing the ribbon cable in farther. make sure you push on both sides of it with your fingernails until it goes all the way in then latch it down.

Pushing in the ribbon cable further fixed the problem with DS Lite as well! Thanks for the tip!

Wow, had same problem, though "oh my ***" Ive broke my boys DS completely 9well he did destroy the top screen with teeth...
Its the ribbon, it has to be firmly put in place with a set of small pliers!
then it powers up lovely...
