Camera dead after downloading pics

Use a card reader to download the pictures instead. I never figured out how to use the cable that attaches the camera to the computer. I've been doing this for 4 years and haven't had a problem!

Kodak easy share z612 will not turn on to take a picture

When the battery dies, usually the camera will retract the lens if possible. If the battery is so dead the lens can not retract, I would recommend trying to charge or change the battery. Or try to turn the camera on, and then manually shutting it off if you can.

Can't take pictures

The blinking red clock means the date and time are not set, I think.  I have a 7900 that won't take pictures after a battery charge.  It's worked for over 3 years and then suddenly no more pictures.  I uploaded firmware version 1.2 and that didn't fix it either.
