I have a bb 8320 and when i plug it into the wall it charges but when i plug it into my laptop nothing happens why is that?

Try this this.

1. Unplug BB from PC.
2. Launch the Application Loader like you were going to install something.
3. While the app loader is attempting to connect to the BB, plug the USB cable into the BB.

There is an issue with your firmware. You will need to do is:
1. Unplug BB from PC.
2. Launch the "Application Loader" like you were going to install something.
3. While the app loader is attempting to connect to the BB, plug the USB cable into the BB.

Open the back cover and clean the contacts with DRY CLOTH.

Make sure the BB and battery contacts are all line up.

Close the cover.

Use the wall charger to charge the BB for 2+ hours.


DO NOT use the USB data cable to charge your Blackberry.

When the PC/Laptop/Mac go to power saving/SLEEP mode it will cut off the charge to the Blackberry.

Plug the power pack in a different wall socket and it the Blackberry charge.

BB messenger is always there, perhaps the icon is hidden. On the application screen, press the menu key and select Show All, see if it is there and select it and choose to unhide it.

try turning it on with the battery removed while it is connected to the charger.
if it turns on fine then, it's a battery issue. if it still doesn't come on, i would recommend reinstalling the device software with the desktop manager software. both are available on blackberry.com

2. If that doesn't work, allow the bb to remain unplugged but ON for about 24 hours to drain the battery. Remove back cover and battery. Allow battery and opened bb to sit in a dry environment for 24 - 36 hours. Relace battery and cover. Reboot. Plug in the bb and charge fully.

3. If that fails, retry step 2 but allow battery to FULLY drain then dry out again.

4. Take in to cell store.

4. Take in.

Sounds like you have entered the incorrect subsidy unlock code too many times. When this happens the device is permanently locked to the provider and you cannot unlock it. It sounds like the unlock code you got was incorrect. If you got the code from the provider, call them back, they will have to replace the device.
