You have to load the chipset drivers for the motherboard , then the sound card drivers and any other that show up as yellow in the system device manager.
go to the manufactures website for those

Windows xp shuting down freeze after windows reinstalling

Sounds like your install did not go very well.

Try running the Check Disk Utility.

To run the check disk utility you will need a repair disc ora operating system disc. Put the disc in the cd drive and boot fromit. You want to get to the Dos Command Prompt (Black screen with whiteletters) and type the following command: chkdsk /r
Check disk will run well over an hour or two and you will notice thepercentages going from high to low, this is normal. Let it run tocompletion. Then reboot machine.

If check disk fails to solve your problem you might have to reinstall windows.Try doing a Repair Install that way you don't loose your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs.

In windows xp you get to the dos command prompt by selecting R for repair whenthe options appear.

In Vista and Windows 7 you want to get to the recoveryconsole and look down at the bottom of the window for the Dos Command. If the Check Disk Utility does not fix the problem, then reinstall the operating system again.

Logitech soundman G1 cases don't function..Do I need a driver ?

Driver might need to be reinstalled but to confirm this you should attach any other set of speakers of Headphones. However the driver or improper installization of windows xp usually causes this on getting updated. I'm not sure that what windows you are using therefore you can probably just check if the cables are pind in right sockets and that the Speackers are getting power. As far drivers are concerned the Speakers do not have any drivers but the sound card does, therefore if you have not installed the drivers of sound card you may install them now. This may solve the problem hope fully
