Question about Edirol UA-4FX External Sound System

No sound I just reinstalled window xp, and i don't have any sound.

You have to load the chipset drivers for the motherboard , then the sound card drivers and any other that show up as yellow in the system device manager.
go to the manufactures website for those

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers

After reinstalling my sound did not effect.


Re-Install the drivers from the system disk that came with your computer. If no disk, go to the website and download the drivers for your model computer.

yes sometimes you need sound drivers..do you have motherboard disc handy? if so just play and install sound drivers from that cd..start/settings/controlpanel/system/hardware/devicemanager

all the items you see with excemation mark needs drivers after a reinstall of XP..good luck and i hope it helps you..

I can only assume that you have a Sound Blaster product since you have not stated which one. Here is a link to the drivers.
