Probably just broke the solder join on the USB plug. I have used a fine tipped soldering iron, and re-sweated the join again, and you will probably fix it.

Install my printer, have a message about USB port MALFUNCTION in my printer BROTHER DCP7020 laser

Hello, Jorge.

It would help to know "exactly" what the error message states, such as "The USB Device Not Recognized" or something like that. Here are a couple of things to try in order to narrow down the problem source:
1. Try a different USB connection on the computer. If that one works, the problem is probably that other connection port.
2. If none of the ports work with the printer, try a different USB-powered device, such as a cell phone and charging cable. If it works, the problem lies with the printer/computer connection (more likely the printer).
3. If none of the USB ports work, the problem might be your USB port itself. Go to "Device Manager" (in Control Panel), then look for "Universal Serial Bus controllers." Check to see if any have a disabled symbol. Check under "Properties" that device status is: "This device is working properly." If not, try updating the drivers (under the "Driver" tab).

When I plug in my ez connect adapter to the USB port the computer re boots over and over

Damaged usb port? See if contacts are bent. Bad wifi adapter is possible. Try another wireless device in the port (mouse, keybd) to see if port is okay. Some adapters require that you install software before using, but this should not cause reboots.

My keyboard stopped working

What kind of keyboard connector does it have?

If the end of the connector is round with pins (serial connection), just plug the keyboard back in and reboot the computer. With that style of connector, if they get knocked out or come loose while the computer is running, they will not always work again until you reboot.

If the keyboard uses the flat plug (USB) connector, the computer should be able to pick it up again without a reboot when you reconnect it. Also note that if the keyboard is USB and it stops working; if you have any other USB items hooked up as well (IPod, webcam, external drive, etc), check to see if any of those devices are still working either before rebooting your system. Sometimes, another unrelated USB device may crash causing ALL USB devices to fail simultaneously. If this is the case, unplug all USB devices except your keyboard and reboot. If the keyboard works again, reinstall all of your other devices one at a time until you locate the one that crashed all of them (if that was the case).

Hope this helps.

My computer will no longer recognize my device when I connect it with the USB cable.

Try resetting the device. Press the reset button on the bottom of the unit for 15 seconds or so (you'll need a bent paperclip to push the button in its hole).

See if that helps.

You could try using a different USB cable (in case there's something wrong with that cable).

Let us know if those worked, okay?

Malfunctioned

Hi,

Some times this error message will pop up.

Just disconnect it.

Shut down the system.

Wait for some time.

Turn it back on.

Connect it in the computer USB port & not in the USB hub or something.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck.

Ipod is Not Being Recognized by Computer

First ipod cables only work on ipod.
Second if you bent the connections (even just one) so that it is not connecting inside your ipod you will need to get that fixed.
You should reboot your computer and try again first though.
