memorex mp3 player 4gb plug in to charge battery will act like charging when finished it goes off due to no charge it has a lithium battery got for christmas 2006 from target

batterys dead, these usually last for about 12-18 months.
you can probably buy a replacement, but may have to get the shop to fit.
Due to data loss et,c.
Use it on the computer with a USB lead.
