Question about Sony Ericsson K800i Cellular Phone
I have a Sony Ericsson k800i, and have recently notice a feature called "remote control" it has something to do with bluetooth as you probably already know but am curious as to what it actually does.
I've tried connecting with other phones but when i do only a keypad comes up on the screen and nothing at all happens when i press buttons.
I think that i have to connect it to my computer via bluetooth, but am not sure if my computer has it. How do i find out?
Hope you can help!

With this functionality, you can remotely control a bluetooth-enabled desktop or laptop PC.
What this function does is, it allows you to use your phone joystick to control the mouse cursor on your pc, and click on its desktop, icons and applications. (Something like a wireless mouse or joystick if you prefer).
This can be very handy when you are doing presentations... You can go to the next slide for example, by using your phone joystick while standing away from your laptop's keyboard... No more moving or bending over your laptop's keyboard to press space for the next slide!
Mind you that your computer must have bluetooth support. Moreover it's BT software must support the HID (Human Interface Device) profile. Windows Vista supports the HID profile by default and XP supports it if you have the Widcomm BT software installed (it usually comes with most, but not all, BT USB dongles out there...)
Hope this helps!
