1 gig is the max. Get two sticks of 512mb kingston. If you go to kingston.com you will see ways on how to find the optimized RAM for your computer. If i am correct here are the specs for the ram that you need. 512MB-DDR333 PC2700, 184p DIMM, 2.5v, Sync, CL=2.5

Computer Tips: Low Memory Problems

How to solve low memory problems...?

Normally this warning message shows when you run many programs same time than the RAM installed on your computer is designed to support. Your can solve this problem by increasing the system paging file size also called as virtual memory. Using this virtual memory windows moving information to and from the paging file for fast processing. This will free up enough RAM for other programs to run properly.
To increase the system page file follow the give path:

e7a0e76.jpg
Control Panel > System > Advanced > Click on Settings (Under Performance) > Advanced > Change
Here under Drive (Volume label), you have option to select any of your hard disk drive, but the best choice is, select any drive other than C drive for virtual memory.

Set the double Initial & Maximum Size of your Virtual Memory. Here set initial size 700 MB and maximum size up to 1000MB; you can change this size according to the free space available on your hard drive.

I have IBM eServer with ServeRaid-7K on board controller and have 3 SCSI 73GB hard drives configured in RAID-5 array. Hard Drives are running critically low on space and I bought 3 300GB scsi Ultra320 hard...

First, buy an external storage device, at least 80GB (although it's currently difficult to find any _smaller_ size!) and make a file-by-file, folder-by-folder, backup of your 73GB of "data".

Second, buy another external storage device, and do a Google-search for "drive image freeware".
Pick one of those applications, and do a "image" backup to this second external storage device.

Third, disconnect the 3 "old" drives, carefully label them, and set them aside.

Fourth, connect the 3 "new" drives, delete the old RAID-5 array definition,
and create a new RAID-5 array definition.

Fifth, do an "image restore" from the second external storage device to the new array.

If you have any problems, all you need to do to "back-out" is to:
* disconnect the "new" drives
* reconnect the "old" drives
* delete the "new" array definition
* redefine the "old" array definition

and you're back to the "old" configuration.

If you go to

they have a 'memory advisor tool'.  Download and run it, and it should detect your memory type and what you can replace/upgrade it with.

Trying to install new ram but get beep sound when turn power on

In my experience, the long beeping is faulty or incompatible RAM. As you have put your original ram back in, possibly, that is now faulty.
Have you made sure the ram is locked properly in place? Have the clips located properly?
Did you ground yourself before you touched the ram?
With no ram, you will see nothing on the screen.
or You either bought defective or incompatible RAM.
Your problem may be with the density of the RAM. Another possibility is the number of banks of RAM you have. You need to remove the new stick and then go to crucial.com. Use their online memory scanner to determine what upgrades are possible.

Mobo reads less ram than windows

possible that you have incompatible mem installed, the archictecture of the mem could be 32mb x 64bit could mean that the "BIOS" may only be able to see 32Mb x 8 which to me suggests that this is not the correct mem for this Motherboard, is this mem recovered from another system or an old board. Try Kingston.com and use their memory configurator to find the correct mem for your motherboard (enter the MB manuf and model)
