You can charge your Nuvi 1300 with any USB connection using the Nuvi - to - USB cord.

I hope that helps.

The limited directions tell me to charge my Garmin 1450 for at least 4 hours. How is that done without a charger? Will it charge with the computer cable? It seems that your site will not allow me to...

Hello,

The nuvi will accept a charge when connected to a computer if the computer connection is done through a powered USB port.
Garmin part number 010-10723-00 which is an AC power adapter is also available for charging the unit.

I lost my Garmin Nuvi 205 car charger and wanted to know what i could replace it with or what the charging voltage required is, perhaps i have a spare cell phone charger that would work.

You can buy a new car charger for your GPS from this site:
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=13429#accessoryTab
It should be situated under the accessory tab

I am not sure about the voltage of the device, but it should say somewhere on the unit, the unit's box or the instruction booklet

I've been using after market chargers in car and on ac. They worked fine for a long time. Now, my Garmin NUVI 660 seems to turn off (goes into "charge mode" or something) when I plug my car charger into...

Yes, many aftermarket chargers are not wired the same as a Garmin charger and will cause your Nuvi to think it's connected to a PC. What happened to the original charger that plugged into the cradle (the part your Nuvi snaps into?)

660 nuvi charges fine with AC charger, but not with 12v car charg

The real question is this:

1. When you plug the Nuvi onto the cradle, do you see a yellow lightning bolt appear over the battery icon at the main menu?

Compare it with the AC charger. If you don't see the lightning bolt, then you either have (2) problems:

1. There is a problem with the car charger not feeding power to the Nuvi.
2. There is a problem with the rear cradle socket on the Nuvi.

I have fixed both problems before. More info can be found here:

I have a Garmin 760 did not come with a ac

The AC charger plugs into the mini-USB port on the bottom of the unit. The term AC is somewhat misleading as the AC charger plugs into an AC outlet but provides +5VDC to charge the units internal 3.7VDC battery.

You can purchase an OEM AC charger here:

Charging a garmin nuvi 255w

From dead flat it takes about 9-10 hours
do not leave on charger for more than that otherwise you will overheat and burn it out.
After each use recharge for about 3-4 hours depending on whether the unit has been used for that lengthyof time

Where do i plug in the 120 charger on my garmin nuvi 760

I forgot to mention I have the Auto charger, a picture is found here.

http://di1.shopping.com/images1/pi/48/03/f6/45427438-177x150-0-0_.jpg?p=P2wdgPdb7n&a=2&c=1&l=3069175&t=04%2F03%2F09%2010%3A21%3A25%20PM&r=1

If you bought a generic AC charger that claims to work for the 760 which doesn't have the mini-b end, you bought the wrong one.!
That (mini USB) USB port is the only place to charge the battery on this model

I game my parents a garmin 260w with just the car charger.

I would only us the Garmin charger. Why take a chance. They are fairly cheap. Plus you need the car charger since that's where you use it most of the time. The batteries don't last all that long.

AC charging problem

okay if it charges with your DC, and it gives you plomebs with the AC, i would only charge in the car because your AC charger must not be changing the current to volts and you can easily blow it up... you can buy another charger and that should solve your problem
