Yes of course it is WiFi capable.
But it does not have WiFi built in.
Buy a USB or PCMCIA WiFi card and you will be sorted.

I am tryin to setup wireless in my ibm 2647 labtop can u tell me how

first: do you have a wifi-capable router? ensure that you do, and that it is hooked up properly.
next, are you sure your laptop is capable of wifi?
if there is a wifi switch on your laptop, flip it to the on position.

if you're running windows:
right click on the taskbar. you should see a signal/strength bar either with a red X or a gold circle.
if it's a gold circle, right click. find your enabled wifi router name, and connect.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525. I had to reinstall Windows Vista. It has WiFi capabilities. I cannot figure out how to turn it on. The WiFi switch on the right side is turned on.

Go to you likely need to reinstall the driver for your wireless card. Once that is done, it should be able to function again.

We just purchased an acer aspire one for my daughter. When she tries to go onto the internet a message comes up that her internet adapter has been removed. Is this a device that plugs into a usb port? Does...

This computer has both ethernet & WiFi connection capability which should allow internet capability with the proper router.
Not sure why you are getting this message. I'd return it for exchange.

My wireless has gone capoot.

Most desktop computers are not by default wifi capable (barring a few models that include an internal USB wifi adapter in the case.) If you have added wifi to the unit by installing an internal PCI-Card Wifi adapter or plugged in a USB Wifi adapter into one of your USB ports then that capability will be added. As far as a Keyboard command to activate the Wifi, that is usually dependent on the Computer and/or the brand and model of the adapter installed. What brand of Computer and model are you having problems with? If the Wifi was added after it was purchased, what brand and model of adapter are you using?
