It´s about da same problem i posted on february 22nd,da chip i put on my console is "matrix" and i put it when i lived in greece,i can play all the games i want and all of the burned DVD´s i have at home, but da problem comes to happen when i wanna play an original DVD from other country, whether USA or Mexico, what do i have to do? is it programmed just to play original DVD´s from region 2(europe) or there´re some doable settings that i can perform to achieve it or i just have to burn those DVD´s to play´em? thanks

dvd player will only play movies for the COUNTRY in which you purchased it. There is no way to purchase a system or configure a system to play ALL MEDIA FOR ALL COUNTRIES. The country codes are specific and each country wants to prevent any other country from playing their dvds music, etc
hey problem is the drive key on your dvddrive doesn't match the new m/board you put in...??
you need to get the drive key off the new m/boards original drive and flash it tot your driv.... each m/board has a matching key on there dvd drive.
when this happens, it either symbolizes that somehow, your tsop32 chip has corrupted in your dvd drive and has lost the dvd key, or you (someone) has attempted to flash the firmware on the dvd drive and it has ended in a failure and destroyed the initial firmware. basicly, if you have your dvd key, you can try to reflash the drive with working firmware (tutorials can be found everywhere) or, if you have warrenty left, send it in. if all else fails, find a person who knows how to disassemble an xbox 360 + dvd drive, desolder the tsop32 chip, and rip the firmware. this can be costly though, and you'll need a new dvd drive afterwords if your old one gets broken in the process. and if you can't get the dvd key, well, your 360 is now an expensive dvd player.
Well you got half of it correct lol. Here's your problem, you don't have what xbox would refer to as a dashboard. Meaning you don't have the software installed to navigate your Hard Drive. On top of that you don't need a mod chip at all to do what you're doing. Here I posted a forum post on this topic a while ago on my site(i'm error btw it's my post) So if you have any further questions feel free to send me a message on my forums. Yes this is referred to as a Soft Mod. And it's a full tutorial from A to Z with pictures. This page gives you all the software you need and full detail on setting up your memory card to boot your hard drive. The program for that is called HD Advance btw. The only program you shouldn't need that i've included in my tutorial is Cogswap. Since you have a mod chip installed you shouldn't need to do any swapping at all.
You can play only origional DVD's.But if u want to play dvd's from all the reigon then you must first install modification chip in your PS2 console. You can find the details of from www.world-chip.com.
After installation mod chip u can enjoy the dvd's.
