Question about Samsung SCH-u340 Cellular Phone
I brought a cable from amazon with cd that was for the u340 phone but after I installed the cd it will not recognize my phone. How can I get my pictures downloaded?
I have the same phone. got the data cable for $2 at amazon. The free USB driver can be found here:
make sure you install this driver and reboot BEFORE you connect the phone to your computer
Next download BitPim at www.bitpim.org. it should find your phone right away.select view filesystem from the view menu. You will then select the directory mm then open pg then default album will have the photos. right click on the .jpg file you want to save to your hard disk or if you right click on the directory (default album) you can select backup which will create a zip file of all the pictures and copy it to your computer. This soulution works on windows XP. Hope this helps

Finally!! I could do it using Bit Pim... I found this how-to:
1-using other cdma phone setting go into the file system.
2-Go to 'mm' folder, then 'pg' then 'Default Album'
3-There should be the photos.
4-Right click (or ctrl click with mac) on the photo and select Save...
5-Vois-la, it should work (it worked for me)

You should be able to use this software I downloaded from Verizon. It's no longer there but I uploaded it here. Just punch in the 3 letter code, wait 45 seconds & a gray box will appear. SAVE the file to your HD & install it. You need to REBOOT for it to work. :-)

Most of your answers didn't work for me. Was able to finally see pics in BitPim but there is no "mm" folder or a "pg" folder. Found them under "cam_data"folder. I can see them all, but when I right click to save to a folder on my desktop and then try to open it, it says it is not a valid image. Help & thanks in advance, Jake
