This is a standard sony problem, don't worry about getting a new one. Try running a network update via settings. i know a few of the new firmwares have fixed this problem. if this problem reoccurs, take it to a shop to have it looked at.

My ps2 has no color when im play games but i can watch DVD's with no problems

Hi, these are reasons or problems that can affect ps2 color.

Its the model games your downloading. the unloaded didn't upload it right.
The problem would have to be your PS2. When you modded it, the PS2 must have had something changed in it.
That thing that you changed may not allow it to read the color on certain PS2 games. You either have to buy a new PS2, or figure out what you did wrong when you modded it.

its something with the chip u used... i did the same thing and replaced it and im working fine now... u should think about getting magic swap... requires no modding to play station and i hear from people that it works well

The thing in the back that hooks up to the back of the tv or cable connection needs to be changed

This may sound stupid and completely obvious, but mine occasionally play without color as well. Try jiggling the RGB cable from the back of the console.

because its the way they made them the only difference is the type of film they use other tha that game play is still the same

go to game stop or a game shop 4 them to fix or it might be that your psp had been dropped or something that happened to it .

Hope it helps.

Psp wont play umd

Well, either there is something wrong with the game or the PSP is messing up. If i were you, i would take the game back in exchange for a new game, but get the same game. I would try it in the PSP. If it doesn't work then there is something wrong with the PSP. If the PSP still has a warranty, then you can contact the manufacturers and they could see what the problem is. If you don't want to do that and if you Just bought the PSP then exchange it for a new one. But if you have had it for awhile now, i don't think you could get a new PSP. So, i hope i helped you out some. Good Luck.

Psp won't play all games

Have it sent in to the repair shop. I suspect the UMD drive has problems, because the clicking sound should NOT be there, only a whirring sound.

Psp freezes about 5 minutes into game play then shuts off

sounds unfixable, if you wait about a month i heard they are making a slimmer PSP and the old PSP price will go down :)

Directional Button and L Button Problem and another problem.

I think there might be a problem with your configuration, remove all plugin then try to restore to default setting on setting menu. and/or if your psp installed Custom firmware, the umd speed are set to fast. do this via recovery menu (hold R trigger while turn on psp). you may need to fix L button if it is stuck. you may consoder sending it back to Sony for repair. You can call SONY support at 1-800-345-7669. hope this helps.
