When I try to sign on to Yahoo the password is case sensitive but the phone will not allow me to change to lower case on the first letter.

But I am unable to change to lower case on the first chararcter of the password. This would mean changing my password.

I have the same problem, supposedly you click on the 0 to get lower case, but it doesn't work when entering the password. Although mine does type the entire username in lowercase???? But always switches to uppercase for the password. Anyone have a real answer to this other than changing the password?

Can you elaborate on what / where you've encountered the problem ?

Assuming you've gone to the site ... or to:, you should see the login spaces (for your name and password). When you enter them ... what happens ?

Just make sure your password is entered with the proper upper and lower case letters (if you'd previously defined them with upper and lower cases)

My yahoo massager and my yahoo mail is locked how do i fix it

Accounts are locked for 24 hours if you - or someone else - used the wrong password three or more times when attempting to sign into your account.

If you recently changed your password, Messenger will not automatically update it. You will need to switch to a desktop or laptop and update your new password in Messenger.

"To manually update Yahoo! Messenger with your new account password:

1. Open Yahoo! Messenger.
2. On the main Yahoo! Messenger sign in screen, clear out your Yahoo! ID:
- Select your Yahoo! ID in the Yahoo! ID box and press Delete on your keyboard.
3. Clear out your old password:
- Select your password in the Password box and press Delete on your keyboard.
4. Type your Yahoo! ID and new password in the Yahoo! ID and Password boxes.
5. Leave the Remember my ID & password checkbox checked, if you wish.
6. Click Sign In."

Please clear your cache and cookies before entering your new password. This will allow the system to update and recognize your password.

Passwords are case sensitive and must be typed exactly as it appears on file.

When signing in from a mobile device, please note that some mobile devices are set to automatically capitalize the first letter.

Invalid ID or password. Please try again using your full Yahoo! ID, and type the text you see in the picture below.

Remember some Passwords and most Captcha codes are case sensitive and require you to use both upper case and lower case as well as numbers. If even one letter is wrong you will be turned down.

I cant sign in to my yahoo acct.

Have you made sure Caps Lock isn't on as your password is case sensitive meaning that upper-case letters are saved as such and are different to lower-case letters. If you still can't log in then view my tip on Yahoo! Mail Compromisation and how to receive a new password. The tip can be found here:

I am having a trouble in signing in to my newly download yahoo messenger version 10

well though the problem is not clearly stated i am assuming that it isnt accepting your password or username....make sure that you are entering that information EXACTLY as you wrote it down (you should always keep that info handy somewere) and be sure that you know that your password is case sensitive which mean that if you have capital letters in your password then you have to enter them with caps but if your pw is lower case then make sure your caps lock is off!
