Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

Can't apply some of my songs as ring tones. Why? Help

I have bluetoothed songs from my old phone to my new phone and the songs from M - Z can't be applied as a ring tones. Why?

Maybe it is how you have the songs formatted try .mp3 that should help.

Ring tone


1. to set mp3 ring tones...

copy any mp3 file to phone ( via cable or bluetooth )
go to multimedia = go to mp3 = now play the song you want as tone,
when song is playing, select options, and select = set as ring tone

DONE and smile......

2. to set Default sound ring tones...

go to menu = my stuff = sounds =
browse the sound files when you like one , select options, and set as ring tone.....

Done and smile again... hope this helped...

Yes there is follow these steps,

Multimedia
Sounds
select song e.g Khe Sanh - Cold Chisel
Options on the song
scroll down until you see apply as
Ring Tone

Im pritty sure you have the same phone as me if not i have the other v3 so just reply if you dont and i can help..

yes it does select options and it will ask set as a ring tone..

All you need to do is go into sounds and select, scroll to the song that you want to use as the ringtone, press the button between back and play, scoll to apply as ringtone then press select

Ring tone problem


MP3 format file are for you to listen to.
.mid, .aac, and .amr file extentions are ring tones.

Apply mp3 songs as ring tone


I had to edit some of my songs on my PC to make them shorter to be applied as a ringtone. I made them about 20-30 seconds long so they would work. WHen I put entire songs on the phone it wouldn't work.

unfortunatlely there is no way you cane set a file that exceeds 1 mega bite i know this as i have had the same problem so if it is a full song sorry but there is no way you can set this as a ringtone
