We have 2 identical laptops, only 1 will connect with internet (has worked fine for over a year). It won't accept the wpa number I have, and when i type in 192.168.1.1 on my desktop computer browser to check the encryption key, the router ip wont work (browser sends me to google search).
Its my teenage daughters laptop, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated so I can have my desktop back.

Re: Laptop wont connect with internet.
Is your desktop wireless as well? If so plug in network cable to Hub. You shoude be able to connect now.
Check WPA and you should be good to go.
If this does not help then ping the router and let me know the response.
click start-->Run--> type CMD--> press enter.
In the command window type...
tell me what return you get.

Have you ran one at a time to see if each one can connect by itself this would rule out a problem with one of your laptops.if you try this let me know. Thanks. You can call support at Belkin an they might be able to walk you through the setup.
1.Log into router 2. Verify wireless router name( on the computer) >>> ( on/off) 3.Note router name you are connecting to. 4.. Check the laptop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses. 5. Set the laptop up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address. 6.Note router name you are connecting to. 7. Move the laptop about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet. This is for all routers to set up wirelessly.
