Question about Dell Axim X50 Pocket PC
Dell X50 won't turn on, replacement battery, checked lock switch, will only power on cradle, checked connections for battery also tried to reset but doesn't work, brightness on battery power is set to bright, what else can i try?????????????????
Had the same problem. Did some research and fixed the problem by performing a "soft reset". Tap the reset indentation on the back once quickly. Do NOT hold it in or you will lose all saved data. Mine's working fine now.

Plastic clip on battery cover may have broken - check by removing the battery cover and pressing the switch yourself.
Alternatively, open the PDA's 4x screws, remove the back, and glue the internal switch closed.

SOURCE: Dell Axim X50 PDA won't turn on
try a hard reset
Dell Axim x50 / x50v / x51 / x51v:
Make sure the device is on before performing hard reset. To hard reset, press and hold the power button and press in on the reset button (reset hole) on the back of the unit for about 2-3 seconds. Release both buttons and you will see a confirmation screen asking you if you would like to clear all data in memory. To do so press the Contacts button. To cancel press the Mail button.
IT may be that the mainboard is faulty and would need to be replaced.
