24" flat panel Sanyo

I was picking up the tv and I accidentally pulled out the cable cord connector out of the tv. Is there a way that I can fix this myself. Looks pretty simple.

I would say that you have pulled the pcb towards the back of the casing causing the front power button to just fall short of pressing the internal switch in properly. Where the scart socket is at the back of the set, push it inwards and then attempt to press the power button in, on the front of the set.

Sanyo 24" flat DS24425 suddenly turned off, won't turn on. Pressing the power button either results in no response or it turns on for a second, then turns off again. No picture. Already tried playing...

Solution to the won't turn on or turns on and turns off in 3 seconds my Ds24425 did.

First thing is very important...unplug the TV and let it set for 24 hours before you proceed.

The voltages inside a TV are EXTREMELY HIGH and proceed with caution!

Place the set face down on a towel on a table and remove the back cover....hex screws around the perimeter and 1 phillips screw near the inputs.
The main board will slide up and out. unplug the degausing coil "white plug with two wires" and the speakers connector. This will make it easier to turn the board and take a look.

What I found with mine was a bad electrolytic capacitor. You can identify I bad cap "capacitor" by examining the tops of each one for bulging or signs of overheating "melted or bubbled plastic covering." The cap in question was C626 with a value of 1000uf, 16volt. I replaced with a 1000uf, 35volt and it works perfectly. The cap is located about center of the board. Carefully unsolder the cap and remove, make sure to install the new cap with the proper polarity...the board is marked with a dot indicating the negative lead of the cap.
Be sure to reattach the white plug and speakers connector and slide the board back into the plastic grooves. Then replace the back cover and test. Good luck! ...Daddio

Sanyo tv making high pitch noise from loose cable connector

The noise is coming from the fly-back transformer. By moving the cable connector you move the main board. Unplug the TV and remove the back. The transformer has a red wire going to a rubber cup at the top of the picture tube. Looking at the transformer you will see a dough nut shape with a metal piece going through it .. Drive some tooth picks between the dough nut and the metal core. That should reduce or stop the ringing.

Problem with brand new TV

The reason you're getting a blue screen is that you're not getting a signal. Newer TV's have this "blanking" feature to "kill" the snow in the absence of a signal. Check the connector at the end of the cable where it screws onto the set. Stargazer
