When I try to power on the camera the blue light turns on for about two seconds, starts blinking and then nothing. I transfered my memory card to the other HP M527 so I could use that one, and now it has the same problem. I think the memory card was corrupted? Can anyone help me?

What can happen is that if the camera sit idle for awhile without batteries, it may take awhile for a camera build up enough of a charge to power on fully. Try new charged- rechargeable batteries. One trick I tried is to hold the power button down until it powers on. The other trick is get the camera to go into its diagnostic screen by holding the flash button down and as the power button is pressed.

One thing you can do is get the AC adapter for the camera. The camera takes 5-Volt adapter, and you get a generic from Radio Shack. Plug the camera in and turn it on. If this works, then turn the camera off and insert new batteries. Turn it back on. Remove the camera from the AC adapter. Turn the camera off and then back on.

Hello

Unfortunately a "lens error" is not something that you will be able to fix. This error requires the camera to be sent in for servicing and repair.

You may find it more cost effective to purchase a new camera as opposed to the repair price on your current camera.

A repair price will typically be over $100.00

hey, I had the same problem when I accidentally droped my camera, some parts in the mechanism are probably broken or jammed.

Most likely repairs required.

I have a Sony DSC-T1 and it is displaying a flashing error message E61:10. . The screen is blurry and I can't do anything! It had the CCD chip replaced by Sony free of charge previously - is this the same...

Hi,

In DSCT1 Camera, the E:61:10 error message indicates a Self diagnostic message. This message can be clearly identified by the help of a Sony Authorized service technician. Each of these codes indicates the symptoms and resolutions of the Camera. The E error code indicates the internal hardware malfunction with the Camera. This issue is not related to the CCD Image Sensor replacement.
Try the steps given below to check if the issue can be resolved.

· Turn off the camera.

Remove the battery pack.

Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.

Reinsert the battery pack.

Turn on the camera.
Also, try resetting the Camera back to factory default by pressing the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object. The RESET button is located at the lower right side of the control buttons.
Please make sure that the Camera is turned ON before you reset it.

Good Luck!!

When i try to turn my camera on it flashes a small red light and then it won't turn on, how do i fix this?

Hi,

The Red indicator flashing in the Camera may be the Access Lamp or the Power Lamp. The Access Lamp is located below the Control buttons and the Power Lamp near to the power button. If the Access Lamp is flashing, it indicates that the Camera is accessing the Memory. Do not remove the Memory Stick or Batter while the Access Lamp is lit.

If the Power Lamp is flashing, it indicates that the Camera is turned on. If the Lamp is lit in Red it shows that the Battery is not having enough charge. Insert new batteries or charged Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries to resolve the issue.

You may also try power resetting the Camera. To power reset the Camera, remove the batteries from the Camera and then press and hold the POWER BUTTON of the Camera for 15 seconds and then reinsert the batteries after 1 minute and check if the Camera works normally. If the issue persists, service may be required.

Thanks

Cat knocked my digital camera off the desk now the screen is blue

Try reseting your camera
  1. Locate the RESET button on the camera.
  2. Use a pointed object (like a ballpoint pen) to press and hold the RESET button for 2-3 seconds.
  3. After 2-3 seconds has elapsed, release the RESET button.
  4. if you dont have a reset button try the manul reset below
Performing a manual power reset
  1. Turn off the camera.
  2. Remove the battery pack.
  3. Remove the button-sized lithium battery.
  4. Allow the camera to remain without power for 30 seconds.
  5. Reinsert the button-sized lithium battery.
  6. Reinsert the battery pack.
  7. Turn on the camera.
If your camera is experiencing an issue and the issue is not resolved by performing the appropriate reset procedure above, then service may be required. hope this helps

The Lens Stuck in extended position on my kodak easyshare v-550

Hi there, welcome to FixYa.

L-83 is a type of lens error. There are a few different types of errors with causes ranging from a broken gears (they're plastic), to sand or dirt getting in the gears preventing them from turning. So, here are a couple things you can do to fix this yourself before turning it in to shop for repair.
1) Get an air compressor and put the nozzle up to the space between the lens and the body of the camera and blow it out real good. Then turn the camera over (lens down) and tap the lens on a hard surface. You may have to do this a couple of times.
2) Press the power button on the camera, and while it's flashing it's lights, bang the side of the camera on the palm of your hand a couple of times. That may free the gear up.

If it's not something blocking the gears from turning, then it could be that the guide pins on the lens may be out of their tracks. If this happens, then the lens will not move at all.
Press the power button and grab the lens, give it a tug and a twist. Don't be afraid of it, you want to manuever those pins back into their tracks. You should hear a click when they fall back into place. If you hear the click, then stop pulling on it. Power it off and back on to see if the lens retracts.

If these three suggestions won't work for you, then you should turn it in for repair. Perhaps the teeth on the gears are getting stripped off, and it's pieces of the gear themselves that's getting trapped in the other gears.
Hope this helps you. Thanks for coming to FixYa.

Top of the camera, lightning bolt like button. When you press it while the camera is on, it will bring up a menu, there should be an option in there to shut it off.
