Wireless router needs switched off and back on after 10 seconds to get it to go on line ,can you assist me in my problem are they setting preventing it going of line?

You can get factory defaults with RESET/WPS button it is i the back side of router press hold it for 10 second then all settings goes defaults. Then follow below to reconfigure it. Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. You need to reset router to defaults. Also change wireless channel type to 3 or 6 or 11 then check.You can configure channel type with below method .

Default user is "admin" and password is "admin" or blank or "password"
if not works then reset your router.
Press RESET button it is in back side of router.
Press it for 10 seconds so all settings are defaults.

WAN settings are your internet service provider settings if you want to know wireless settings then click on wireless then you can find your wireless settings .

On all netgear routers, on the back, is a small pinhole. Press the button inside this pinhole for about 10 seconds, and then unplug the router. Still holding the button in, plug the router back in and wait an additional 20 seconds. When you release the button, the router should boot up to factory standard settings. You should then be able to connect to it through the ethernet cable, and reconfigure your settings. If you need assistance doing so, please reply to your post so we can help.

If still not work then you need to RESET router.
For that press RESEt button for 10 seconds.RESET button is in back side of router hold it for 10 seconds.Then it restart and all settings are defaults.
Then connect your router to computer with ethernet cable.
Then you can access it with default link

or
http://192.168.0.1
type user as "admin" and password as "admin" orblank or "password";

Then click WAN settings and set WAN serttings as your internet service provider settings.
Enable DHCP if you want ip address from router.
Click on wireless enable it then configure your router as WEP or WAP then add Code it is your password to connect wi fi .
Then save and restart router.
