I have an AT&T Nokia 2610 phone which was bought in the US and brought to Ghana with its sim card but if i change the sim card and put any of the sim cards in Ghana in it tells me to enter a restriction...

The error you are receiving is because the phone is locked to AT&T. It will not allow another provider's sim to work in the device. Call AT&T and tell them you need to use a local SIM card and they will provide you with the unlock (restriction) code and instructions on how to unlock it. Keep in mind, since this is a Nokia phone, the customer service rep you speak with will have to put in a request to get the code. It may take several days to get it. Have an email address for them so they can send it to you.
