Question about Zanussi IZ12 Front Load Washer
My IZ12 is now working but whilst looking for the fault I took apart the black round packaging which is clipped on just behind the LCD under the hood. Inside the plastic package there is a small PCB with a chip or controller of some sort. There is also a rubber disc and spring with what looks to me like a magnetic switch or valve above it(?) A pipe comes out of the bottom of the lot.
I'm wondering if someone can tell me what this part does and if it needs calibrating of sort as there is a large adjustment screw on top of it.
The part you refer to is called a pressure switch, as water enters the drum it forces air up the tube at the bottom of the switch whitch controls the amount of water the machine takes in depending on the wash cycle selected. As long as you put it back together properly it will work fine. They are factory set and can not be calibrated. (if faulty it must be replaced)
