What operating system are you using? Is this a desktop or a laptop?

Have you checked your Power Saving settings?

I'm guessing just from what you said that you need to check/change your Power Options properties.

If you are using XP, go to the Start Menu, select Control Panel. Once in Control Panel look on the left hand side and switch to Classic View. Select the Power Options icon, then change the settings under the Power Schemes Tab. I have mine set to Always On and then the setting under that are all set to Never.

If you are using a different operating system, let me know what you are using and I'll post the solution for that operating system.

Good luck!

Check you power settings. Depending on your operating system there are different ways of going about this. Assuming that you have Windows XP, Right click on you desktop and select properties. Select the Screen Saver tab, then there should be a button about power saving, click that button. Check those settings, they deal with what happens upon your computer going idle.

Do you have anti-virus software installed? If not, you may be infected, and your system is being used by the virus to send out spam e-mails.

My son left the dome light on all night. Replaced the battery. The truck starts but will not stay running. Ran perfect when I parked it.

The computer has lost its memory for idle control possibly.Try this, crank the truck and shut is off.Do this as many as 20 times , each time try to leave it running for 2 or 3 seconds so you can see if it will idle on its own.Do this till it relearns base idle.

Car will start but will not idle. If RPM's not

Possible low fuel presure at idle. If new fuel filter does nt fix , then it will
require a new "fuel pump". Have you driven this car on low fuel level often?

Use a squirt bottle of water and squirt the spark plug wires and distributor, coil if it changes the way it rauns you should do a tune-up.

Its starts and runs good, but it is not able to idle, i will rev it up to keep it running and it either gets to like a 300 rpm idle for a second or so then just dies, or it will be like it has a stuck...

Assuming you haven't done anything to the carb or cable, the revving up would indicate an air leak somewhere around the carb manifold, either at the head or at the carb/manifold couple.
300rpm is very low for a single to idle at, it should be around 600rpm for reliable idling.
To check for air leaks, spray CRC or WD-40 around the manifold while the bike is idling - you will hear a change in speed.

2000 grand am- wont stay running

It Sounds Like A Fuel Supply Problem. Which Means It Might Be Your Fuel Pump. Check Your Fuse's And Battery Connections Before You Start Getting Into Dropping The Tank And Replacing It.. I Had A 94 mercury That Would Run In The Winter But Would Shut Off While Im Driving Down The Road In The Summer. When It Would Shut Off I'd Listen To My Car. Turn The Key On For 4 Seconds And Off for 2 and Have Someone Listening To The Gas Tank. The Pump Should Make A Constant Tone. If The Tone Changes up and down or if you hear grinding. theres your problem. a basic electric fuel pump for a car should turn on for 3-5 seconds and shut off when you turn the key on. NOT STARTING IT.

CPU Hung

Hello Wolf, It sounds to me like the processor fan is not working correctly. When you put a load on the processor like programs, movies or games, it overheats and hangs up. Try taking a fan, and with the side removed from your case, have the fan blowing into the case, and try a movie or a game. If it does not hang up, replace the processor cooler and fan. Please let us know how it works for you, and if we can help you in any other way. Best regards, nightdiver
