My HP P2015n won't connect properly to my home network

My HP P2015n won't connect properly to the network The hub (Sky Sagem) indicates it's connected (Cat 5e)but the amber network light on the back of the printer won't change to green it stays on amber. I know it's not the cables because I have switched them all around and they work on another printer. The network won'tt pick up the printer at all. I have installed the printer on my laptop by connecting it via USB. My laptop is connected to the network. Can you help me at all?? Here's hoping!

I'm afraid the formatter pcb is defect. You will have to replace it. Partnumber Q7805-69003.

I have a Cannon MP560 all in one printer and I want to connect it to my laptop as well as my desktop. I have sky broadband and wondered if it can be connected via that.

I really don't see why you can't (I hate the "can't word - it means won't! -- like nails on a chalk board!)
Ok - well, if you haven't tried it, call tech support at the manufacturer of the printer or perhaps even sky network? and see if they can assist?

Acer Travelmate 250 wireless problem

Dear carlosdperez,
When you try to connect to the internet, you must create the new internet connection first, this because you use the difrerent hardware or modem to connect to the net. All you have to do is configure the new connection use your UK SKY Sagem modem and fill all the required input include your dial up number and so on. This is HOW:

Start Menu>Connect To>Show All Connection>Create The New Connection>>>> Follow the wizard>PRESS Next>Connect To Internet>Setup Connection Manually>Choose your Hardware/Modem (UK SKY Sagem Modem)>Use Dial Up Modem>Enter Your Connection Name>Enter Your dial-up Numbers>Enter Your Passwords>Confirm>DONE.

Since it succeeded, you should see the new connection on Start Menu>Connect To>>>

Good Luck!

I have a HP LJ P2015n. Should be on our network

Hi,
As i understand your concern you have network printer which you want to setup with your network. And right now your printer is connected with the computer using a usb be cable. Thats the main reason why it is having different ip address because it don't required any ip address once you tried to connect your printer through usb cable. I can suggest you that once you connect your printer on the network and you will get the option to network setup on your printer where you can assigned static ip to you printer which is the range for your router or network device called DHCP.

I believe that will help your resolve your concern.

Thanks & Regards

Have moved from sky to plus net and need to

Hi There,

I'm assuming that your router is connected by a network cable;

Go to your network connections, right-click on the connection for your router, select 'status', click the 'support' tab. Make a note of the 'Default Gateway' IP address.
Start your internet browser, in the address bar type the IP address. You should then arrive at your router's control panel.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

MC.

HP LaserJet P2015n Printer IP adress

To Me it looks like your printer is set to automatically select an available IP address. If there is no IP available you get the 0:0:0:0 You need a static IP set up for the printer, this will make sure that no one can use the IP. If this is a company printer, get IT to set it up for you. If its your home network you can set this by yourself by either connecting your printer via usb and using the software from HP or if you have an IP you can log into your PC by entering the IP address in the address bar of your browser. You should get the HP page up for your printer. Set the IP from there in the networking section. I hope this helps a little

Does HP LJ 3055 printer scan over the wireless network?

Scan over wireless network is not supported with this printer. You can try set it up and get scanner to work with usb and then change port from usb to HP standard TCP/IP for the device, but I don't think it will work.

How do i configure my Belkin router to work with Sky broadband?

I'm not into hacking what I cannot find on ISP's sites

From what I can gather from the Sky Broadband site reading the manual installation procedures -- the process is pretty much automatic when it comes to installing their equipment leaving no clues as to how they configure it. What is the model if the Belkin router? Options probably exist to attach your device to theirs either as a router (establishing a second network behind theirs) or an access point joining as a member of their network - meaning there would would be two wireless networks in either case in the house (as there are no indications I have found on the site that the provided the sky router can be configured in any way such as turning off wireless). At least according to the documentation the sky router's wireless is running WPA-PSK security / encryption which is good -- and the documentation for attaching non-sky wireless adapters appears to be documented here.
