Question about Barebone Systems

I have an Epson Stylus CX4800 that will not print. I deleted it and re-installed it and it printed a test page fine yesterday. But today it is not printing. (but it will copy??????) HELP

Try to left up your new cartridge, and reinstall it. chances are your installation of the cartridge is just loosened. If your printer still won't recognise your print cartridge, there might be a problem with your printer motherboard in recognising your cartridge.

Printer Problems


Hi have you installed the correct software that came with the printer?
Also how old is the printer and have you used this printer before on this computer or not

After replacing my color cartridge my printer won't print in color. but it will copy color pages perfectly.


When you go to print from IE check the prefrences and see if it is set to Monochrome. It should be under the Advanced tab.

Two weeks ago my computer creashed, lost everything,a technican has reprogramed most stuff,my printer does'nt print from the computer, its all hooked up,the technican gave me a Epson stylus C20 Series...


I have no clue why he would give you an Epson disc. Anyway, you can download your driver from HP's Site.

1. Unplug USB cable to printer, then from Control Panel > Printers delete any printers there.
2. Reboot
3. Install new drivers from the site above.
4. Plug USB cable back in.

Eratic printing of colour pages


probably needs an alignment test as well as a colour check.

Failing that try using a new ink cartridge.

Test page always blurred


It would appear as though the ink cartridges were not securely in place. Upon making them secure my test page printed perfectly thereafter.
All four requirements were carried out i.e. clean/deep clean/print head alignment/nozzle check

HP Deskjet 840c - Printing Emails


I did see you reinstalled your software) but please continue
It is important that you have that icon by the clock. Power off the printer by pressing the power button on the printer.
Please un-install your printer software through Add/Remove Programs within the control panel. Please restart the Pc after un-install is complete. Create a folder on your hard drive and name it, "HP DeskJet 840C". Go to this link listed below & download the printer driver software listed. When you save to disk you can choose where you want to save. Pick the folder you created. Save inside this folder. The HP driver (Will most likely be updated software). I promise, you will have a icon down by your clock when finished.

Follow the instruction in your manual for setup & installation.
If you using Outlook Express & you want to print or send through your printer the page should be set as 8.5x11". Orientation should be set to Portrait, unless you set this for A4.
Lastly, please turn off your anti-virus software during install & re-install. Just in case you come back to this thread!

It sound like a fuser roller or a developing issue. If you can give me some more info we can narrow it down.

Is the line on all pages or just some of them?
Are the edges of the line crisp and clear or are they jagged?
Does the line look the same on all the prints?
How old is the machine and how many prints are on it (if avail)?
