Slow mouse

When ever I play certain video games Like my Nancy Drew the mouse moves super slow

I have the same problem.

Most games have an option to change the mouse sensitivity in the control options.

Oftentimes newer optical mice have a lower resolution that causes them to move very slowly in games.
