Might be the camera's battery terminals, not the battery itself. Take a qtip and some isopropyl aclohol and clean the terminals in the battery well of camera.
Well, for starters, the camera can be defected, because you said that when you charged the battery, it said it was on low, correct? So you should probably send it to the manufacturer, Sanyo, and they might give you a new Sanyo camera, since you got it defected. BUT first, you should call, and ask for more reference. Secondly, just see cheap deals on eBay, & Amazon, so buy a new battery. If you find that you DID charge it, than the Camera itself is defected. But their is also a chance that your area you charged it in IS either too hot or too cold, causing the battery pack to take longer, and lose the battery itself. Hope this info. helps!
I had this same problem with my Sanyo. I went on E Bay and purchased a new battery.. It was about 8 dollars and shipped from China. But it worked when I put the new battery in and charged it.
Hey sue9268, I would first try cleaning the battery contacts. If this doesn't work then this problem is most likely caused by either a faulty battery pack or battery charger. Most retailers that sell cameras should have a charger that you can test your battery pack on, and if the battery pack tests out fine then you should probably purchase a new charger. Of course if the battery pack is bad then you should purchase a new battery Pack. If none of this works I would have your camera looked at by an authorized service technician. I hope this helps!
