Question about Hotpoint TDC32 Electric Dryer
Hi there, I've just been working through one of these dryers and like you found the thermostats and elements to be intact. In my case it turned out to be a faulty timer, I noticed that if I gave the timer a bit of tension in the opposite direction, sometimes I could get the drying light to flick on for a second or two, the timer appeared in good condition in every other way except that I suspect the cam has worn down (they are only nylon and possibly the heat of the contacts has allowed it to slowly erode away) something I did notice that surprised me was that this dryer draws 12 amps on high heat. I was going to strip the timer which requires drilling out the posts but opted instead to fit a separate contactor (relay) fired by one of the other pins on the timer, if you check the timer with a voltmeter you will find a pin that only works when the drum is turning in the normal direction (you don't want the elements to work when the drum is reversing) hook a wire from this to your contactor, move the element wires there as well, supply a neural from anywhere and your away. Total cost $10 for a 12 amp relay. Good Luck !!

Try Float chamber behind water container (Where it snaps into), Wet lint may be clogging the micro switch hence simulating a full conatiner leading to no heat output.
Hope this helps
