Log in under safe mode. To do this, tap F8 on startup. choose the administrator account to log in with. run your virus software and do a full scan.

If you haven't got virus software, download a free one like AVG Antivirus.

My pc shows end program-explorer.exe

First thing you need to scan your hard drive for a possible virus infection.
If the anti-virus cannot find and fix the problem, the explorer.exe file is damaged/corrupted and you need to have it replaced by reinstalling Windows.

How to activate task manager on my pc

It can be done easily by editing the registry. I will try to explain in detail. Follow these steps

1. Check that your PC is virus free. Install Antivirus program if required.
2. Regisry is enabled. Goto run command from start menu OR Press Win key+R and type 'regedit'. It would show up registry.
3. If registry is enabled you can edit it.
4. Open notepad and paste the following four lines

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"DisableTaskMgr"=dword:00000000
"DisableRegistryTools"=dword:00000000

5. TYPE the file name ENABLETASKMANAGER.REG
6. Choose 'all files' option from 'Save as type'
7. Now you should have a registry editing patch. Please note that its extension is .reg
8. Double click the patch to add it to registry and task manager would be enabled.
9. Alternatively, you can download PROCESS EXPLORER, whichis a replacement of task manager from internet. It works even if the taskmanager is disabled.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any further clarification/ help

Log in screen keeps going to guest

i guess you've got a virus. Why don't you, while in login screen, try to press and hold ctrl-alt and then press del twice until comes up a username and password box. then fill it with yours. if its not working, then you have to do a virus removal procedure, if you don't want to re-install your windows :)

Here is the solution
1. Press CRTL-ALT-DEL key
2. On File tab, select New Task (RUN)
3. Type REGEDIT and hit enter key
4. In the registry editor, navigate to the following Key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

5. With the Winlogon key selected, look in the right side window for the 'Shell" value.
6. Double click Shell.
7. In the Value Data box, you should see Explorer.exe. Change it to explorer1.exe and click OK.
8. Exit the registry editor and reboot the computer.

After it fixes it, I suggest you run an Anti Virus. Your system is infected.

Task Manager Disabled

Try using Ctrl+Shift+Escape This should open the task manager directly. If it does not check that C:\windows\system32\taskmgr.exe exists.

My computer went back to older clock date as 1610

try starting your computer in safe mode and see if you can do anything productive there, like scanning for viruses or spyware. also check if you can do the following:
CTRL+ALT+DEL (open task manager)
goto Start>Run>Regedit (open registry editor)
goto Start>Control Panel>Display>Properties (change display settings)
right click on clock at tray and change the current time to correct settings

if you cannot do any of these activities, then your computer may probably been compromised by a virus or malware.
