Question about Mitsubishi WS-65511 65" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

TV won't turn on

So i'm having a problem with my TV. It won't turn on. It's plugged into the wall outlet. Also in the wall outlet is a surge protector with various devices plugged into that which all work perfectly. Things such as a DVD player and a radio. The TV used to turn on fine before with the surge protector and it's devices so i'm thinking it has nothing to do with that. Anyways, when I push the power button on the television, nothing happens. I've pressed the reset button and the power light blinks for about 25 seconds or so before stopping. After I would push the power button again. I've tried holding the power button in for 10 seconds and the reset button for 10 seconds but nothing happens. Still the TV won't turn on. I don't have the manual for the television so using that is not an option. If anyone has any suggestions as to what I should try or do, I would be very grateful. Also, I've had the TV for roughly 5 years or more. t.v will not turn on someone told me that a part called pwb sbm #935D5840 2 is problem is that possiable if so were do i get part mitsubishi will not sell it to me

    I can turn the tv on for about 3 seconds and then it turns off. All of the other electronics that are plugged in work. Receiver, dvr, vcr tec. We get the green power light on then shuts off after exactly 3 seconds. Is there an internal fuse that needs to be replaced?? We've unplugged and plugged everything back in so we know it must be something internal. Please help!! Thank you.

    I have the same tv (Mitsubishi 65511) and the same problem, (won't turn on). The manual says to hit the system reset. When the flashing stops, then try to turn on set. That didn't work either... I tried the solution of hitting both the device and menu buttons to come up with a troubleshooting code, but that didn't help either. Are there any other solutions?

    I have the same TV. 3 days ago it stopped turning on. The green ligt comes on for approximately 2 seconds and then turns back off. I've tried the reset but no success. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    I have the same television and the same problem. My power indicator, green light, blinks for about 45-50 seconds and then goes off. I tried to turn the power switch on and nothing happens, no relay clicking sound or anything. I held the menu and device buttons in for over 10 seconds and it has no effect.

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.

For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.

Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:

12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected

Panasonic tv model number pt-61LCZ70....green light blinks when cut on but no picture or sound...all u hear is the fan on..

Try disconnecting all of your HDMI cables and plugging the power cord of the TV into another wall outlet. If this resolves the issue, you may have had a small power surge from either your wall outlet or one of your source devices. It is recommended to connect your TV to a surge protector if you haven't done so already.

Flashing Lamp light, no picture KDG42WE655

Hi,
The Lamp light of the TV blinks when the Lamp of the TV requires replacement. The model # of the user replaceable lamp block is XL-2100U. You can download the manual of the TV by clicking here. Refer to page # 16 of the manual for further information. Follow the steps below to perform a power reset first:
Try the following steps to check if the issue can be resolved.
Turn off the television.
Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.

If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.
If the issue continues to occur, service may be required.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Turn on tv and standby light flashes 6 times

The self-diagnostic function of the projection TV will cause the STANDBY light to blink or flash when the television detects an issue.

Follow the steps below to perform a power reset:
  1. Turn off the television.
  2. Unplug the TV power cord from the electrical outlet.
  3. Let the TV remain without power for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. NOTE: If the TV is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the TV.
  5. Turn on the television. NOTE: If the TV does not turn on immediately, the fan may need to finish its cycle. This is part of the cooling process for some projection TVs and is normal operation. After the fan turns off, attempt to turn the TV on again.

If the issue is still unresolved after following all of the troubleshooting steps, service may be required . Please note the number of times the STANDBY light flashes and relay that information to the service center.

Sony Grand WEGA KF42WE610 42" turns on and off

If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.

Please make sure that the videos sources are connected properly to the TV.

Try Power Resetting the TV.

Please disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet (for approximately 1 minute), then reconnect the power cord and check whether the issue is resolved.

Also try connecting the TV to a different wall outlet and check if that helps.

Ihave a sony KP53S75 TV there was apower surge and now there is no picture. The red light blinks 4 times can anyone tell me about this?

Hi, if this TV was hit by the surge and it was protected by a surge protector, please follow this reset procedure.

The STANDBY light will flash if an issue is detected within the television. This can sometimes be resolved by simply following the steps below to reset the television.
  1. Turn off the television. IMPORTANT: For a projection television that uses an internal lamp, wait 5 minutes after turning off the television to allow the lamp to cool before continuing with the following steps.
  2. Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
  3. Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.
  5. Turn on the television.

If the problem is still there and the light is still blinking 4 times, this means that the surge has destroyed the Vertical deflection component. in this case, it will have to be replaced.

please rate and have a great day.
