I don't know how to do that. The power light is solid red, the temp light is blinking red, the lamp light is off.

I don't mean to sound stupid, but I can't rate his answer either. This is my 1st day on this website.

  • laydeebug Feb 25, 2008

His "solution" is in a green box and your solution is directly under it. There is nothing for me to choose. I don't even know how his answer got rated because it didn't help. Like I said, I'm new to this website today.

expertbullet I replaced the lamp and still have a red lamp indicator. What should I do now?

  • Anonymous Mar 30, 2014

The projection is VERY dim. Like so dim I can't see anything. Also the heat and temp lights are flashing red. The lamp was just replaced about four months ago. I use about four hours a day, what could be the problem?

if the Lamp error and Temperature error lights are flashing red this means that there are two separate errors.

  • A flashing lamp light means the lamp failed to ignite. It could be a lamp driver problem or lamp failure. Replace the lamp to resolve the issue. If the issue is not resolved, then service the projector.
  • A flashing Temperature light signals a fan error. Turn the projector off and allow it to cool down. If the light is still flashing after the projector is turned back on, service the projector.

    Caring for the air filter

    The air
filter should be cleaned about every 100 hours. If the LAMP indicator
and TEMP indicator blink red simultaneously, or a message prompts you
to clean the air filter when you turn on the unit, the filter needs to
    be cleaned.

1 Turn off the projector, and unplug the power cord

2 Apply a vacuum cleaner to the top of the air filter cover to clean the air filter

3 Turn on the projector, and use the menu to reset the filter timer

4 Reset FILTER TIME [Use this function only when the filter is cleaned or replaced!]:
Depress the RESET button for at least 3 seconds while filter time
is being displayed. The reset menu will then appear. After you replace
the filter, select RESET on the menu with the button.

Do not reset the filter time unless you have cleaned or replaced
the filter. And, always reset the filter time when cleaning or
replacing the filter. The message functions will not operate properly
if the filter time is not reset correctly.

The projector turned itself off after couple hours of use and the Temp. red light came on. Power Light turned red instead of orange as usual. After 3hrs I turned it back on, cleaned the dust off the fan...

There are three temp sensor inside the projector and now your projector need full service but if the air filter becomes clogged with dust, the internal temperature of the projector will rise, the TEMP indicator will illuminate and the projector's power will turn off (the TEMP indicator will flash after the power is turned off) The air filter should be cleaned every 100 hours of use.
If you clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner to clean off any accumulated dust. then your projector working normally

Lamp and temp blink red

Check your owners manual. This means that the air filter needs to be cleaned or that the projector has become too cold. My guess is the first one. The owners manual has instructions for cleaning or replacing the air filter :)

Good luck!

Do you hear the fan start up? or does the projector lamp come on (you start to see an image)?

If yes to either:

When the temperature inside the projector reaches a
certain level, the projector will be automatically shut down
to protect the inside of the projector. The POWER indicator
is blinking while the projector is being cooled down. When
the projector has cooled down sufficiently (to its normal
operating temperature), it can be turned on again by
pressing the POWER ON-OFF button.

After the temperature inside the projector returns to normal, the
WARNING indicator still continues to blink. When the projector is
turned on again, the WARNING indicator stops blinking.

Then check the matters below:
– Did you provide appropriate space for the projector to be
ventilated? Check the installing condition to see if
ventilation slots are not blocked.
– Is the projector not installed near the ventilation duct of
air-conditioning equipment which may be hot? Install the
projector away from the ventilation duct of airconditioning
– Are the air filters clean? Clean the air filters periodically. Let me know if you need to know how to do this.

If no to either:

When the projector detects an abnormal condition, it is
automatically shut down to protect the inside and the
WARNING indicator will be red. In this case, disconnect the
AC power cord and reconnect it, and then turn the projector
on once again for check. If the projector cannot be turned
on and the WARNING indicator emits a red light, disconnect
the AC power cord and contact the service station for check
and repair.

Please let me know if this helped solve the problem. If not, is there anything else you observed - whether or not you believe it's relevant.

Warning lights

Just so you know guys (and this procedure is not for the faint hearted!). I had the slow one second red warning light flash. I checked the bulb, which was find and I left it powered off for 48 hours. My projector is no longer under warranty and would have cost me over £300 to have it looked at. I ventured inside to inspect the boards, once I removed the main board to check the power supply I heard movement from one of the light ducts. It took me a while to removed enough to discover the fixing screw which holds the imaging cube in place (which is between the 3 light ducts and the projector lens) had come out (!?) and was rolling around inside the unit. This would also explain why sometimes I could not focus my unit properly. I remounted the imaging cube, put the whole thing back together and PRESTO! My projector is working again.

Both Temp and Lamp lights blink red

All you should need to do is go to the menu on the projector, and find the Filter Timer. Hit the right arrow to select the filter time, and then hold the rest button on the projector until you are prompted to confirm the reset. Hit menu to confirm and it should now reset the filter timer. Now cut the projector off and back on and the lights should stop blinking. I hope this helps.

Problems with keeping the projector on!!

if it is blanking orange:1- if any objects are blocking the air inlet or outlet grille remove them.2- do not expose the air outlet to hot air emitted from heating appliance.3-check whether the filter is clogged with dirt-clean the filter if clogged.
if it is blanking green:-after status indicator stop blanking press power.if you unplug power cord while the fan is rotating the lamp may be not turn on for one minute next time you plug the cord.
press power button several times.
